The combat in Chiv 2 looks slow and clunky from the perspective of someone who has seen the gameplay but not put substantial time into it. It’s a definite put off regardless.
@@Stouty if you want to say every lemon that plays your game is a part of your community. Then FPSs and mobile games have the biggest communities. Size doesn't mean quality. I can go to a place, meet new people, play any fighting game, daily. Salaries and prize pool are only that size because they have to use loot boxes and time Limited microtransactions to get the money for one tourney. Between every major tournament in every game in that tournament plus pro tours we would be around 75% from the average.
Pretty cool to see 3 years later, the problems you expected to arrise later on definitely haven't been as bad as with Mordhau or most other melees. There are definitely people that do use these wierd spins with good success, but they are almost always still readable and don't work nearly as well as from what ive heard of Civ1 or Mordhau. The weapon swing manipulation isn't as bad as you probably imagined but it will definitely take some practice to deal with. Im definitely not good enough to talk about how it is at top level though, but from what I can tell the skill difference between an average person in the duelyard and them is far smaller than what ive seen between you and other "normal" players so. The mechanics are getting somewhat tedious though with them relying so much on just countering properly but ive been having fun so far
Those from your standpoint didn’t look very hard to read. But when I’m playing at 26 fps, and 130 ping, I cannot see shit. It’s nice when I get only 60 ping, much easier to gauge.
I miss this game so fucking much. I'll never be able to play it the same. The map rotation, alongside many other changes, ruined this game beyond repair for me. I am so deeply saddened honestly. But I'll never forget, the only gem in my life during Christmas was playing this game and finding teams on the discord.
there he is…. Stouty I have heard about you thru my level 200 no life virgin buddy on mordahu and now i have to say i envy ur play style my goddess super midget.
"If a player benefits from a string of inputs being made brainlessly by a script, then the issue is with the game which should ideally only reward players reacting to new onscreen information" Preach brother!
Counter-strafing is intended and a skill, and removing it deliberately fits the literal definition of cheating--regardless of how the game is programmed--and your down-syndrome enforced opinion is irrelevant too.
>Counter-strafing is intended Source needed >and removing it Never said that >fits the literal definition of cheating Except at the time of uploading it was *literally* allowed in competitive play. Nice post, shame I dismantled it in 10 minutes :')
