My name is Eric and I make tons of different projects in the woodworking and DIY space! From fine furniture to DIY home improvements, I'll walk you through every step you need to be successful at all of your projects!
I started out in the parking lot of my apartment and have slowly built up a collection of tools over time. I hope I can inspire you to jump out of your comfort zone or even make your very first project!
I'm far from being a professional, so I like to show all my mistakes and have fun! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you on some of my project videos!
Odd that I use the T-track I have in my bench, outfeed table, side feed table, CNC, radial arm saw, miter sleds, and custom jigs quite frequently. Only a fool would think that purchasing Kreg branded T-track is financially wise. Plus, if something ever happens to them, only a fool would think that's "game over" and not realize it's real easy to replace.
What is it with these guys laying on a table like some woman would do to lure someone. There are a few of these RU-vidrs doing this and it’s kinda strange and effeminate to be honest. It’s kinda cringe.
Man. I saw you putting on a mask with dust filters for contact cement and was worried. But then you used it as a moment to demonstrate the correct filters. Kudos!
Butter. I think I'm going to insist that my wife views this video. She'd say that that project like this is just a box in a box. So it should be done in a day or so. Why do my projects always take so long? BTW, the result looks great. Nicely done!
Isn't MDF the wooden version of asbestos? Understand at the min you think it doesn't matter. But when you're in your 50's and wondering why you're so short of breath it might.
An expensive plane thats difficult to set up is just a bad plane (unless were talking about traditional planes but youre using a modern Bridge City plane). WIth diamond stones and a guide its also not difficult to sharpen.
Can recommend the ukj parf guide from Axminster in the UK. Similar unpleasant cost to it. But I wasn't disappointed with it's accuracy. Edit, lol then 2 mins later got recommend exactly that lol😅
My banana comment for this video comes near the end where you say ... "All you have to do is drill a couple of holes ...". A COUPLE of holes?? Really? I count 190 holes (19 x 10)!! That's a few more than a "couple" (except for very extremely large definitions of "couple"!! ;-)
where does the 2000 come from ? its a plain board. add some inlay , engraving , gold/ silver casting or whatever .. but 2000 for this ? it needs explaining.
My banana comment is to ask about power strips, power charge monitoring and automated power off. I have a metal charge organizer and I've noted that some chargers (Looking at you Ryobi) stay powered on when there's no charging to be done, wasting electricity. How do you keep power usage to just recharging?
Calling metric antiquated? Clearly, you either don't know the difference between antiquated and standardized, or have malicious intent against the clearly superior system and those who would use it. I will now treat everything else you say as the mis(/dis)information you appear to enjoy spreading.
Salut . Beauty in the eyes of the beholder or in this case the customer. ) I kinda like it ,,, and would prolly not have it on my project. Enough said, eh?
I noticed the block "O" on your shirt, and I wanted to let you know that you have a viewer that framed the large block "O" on the ceiling of the ballroom in the student union center. Also, I have walked back and forth through the tunnel at the shoe many times while working on the stadium.
Great build! I'd recommend a vertical drill guide and a forstner bit for the dog holes. Draw grid, center punch, drill. Faster, cleaner, more accurate, if done correctly. Only criticism, please please please wear your respirator when making any MDF, particleboard, or OSB dust. Wood dust is already carcinogenic, and id recommend respirators for most woodworking, but the resins and glues in compressed panels are significantly worse for your health. I've built MDF speaker boxes for years, and didn't know that for most of that time. After starting to wear one, I realized how much the dust messed my lungs up when I'd not feel like crap after working with the material.
Can't wait to see this guy wave at the camera with four fingers some day. Eyes on the tool you're using, kiddo. You're not the first guy in any field with "that much" work experience, and you won't be the last to wind up paying cash or blood to make up for it.
Who would have thought that abusing or misusing t-tracks might make them fail to meet expected durability and usability? To be clear, t-tracks are to be clamped down onto; to the plane that they reside within. Wrenching them up against thin air will pull the screws....of course. A working surface that has t-track installed is not a glueup bench. It would be fairer to say that a t-track surface alone does not meet your desired end use as opposed to stating that t-tracks suck, just because they're not right for you. I do think there are a lot of solution evangelists out on the Internets, are really we all need to remember how to think critically rather than blindly accept A/B answers from the loudest "expert" in the room.
who cares, just use the tool you have at hand at the moment, no need for all that crap in order to do basic wood stuff, need a saw hammer and nails done. yeah screws and drill too
