Hello, I'm an appreciator of your content. I've got an OBVIOUS QUESTION that I can't believe I'm not finding an answer to online by a home grower. It is: What is the most cost effective means of getting filtered water if you have more than one grow unit ( but you're not growing large scale.) I've looked at Brita filters and such but I'm thinking by the time you replace their filters, maybe there is a cheaper way..I'd love if someone did a video on this lol. Thanks for your content!

What a great video! Very cool to see you grow Aztek. It's a Czechoslovakian tomato so it's easy to come by where I live but I must admit I prefer growing more resistant micro dwarfs. Aztek should produce ripe tomatoes in around 70 days but maybe it took longer for you because of weaker lights in your AG unit. Either way, enjoyed the video and I can't believe I only now discovered your channel.

I see you have your light pole out. How do you get it out? Just pull?
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 6 дней назад
It was a painful exercise to detach the light pole. I had to insert a kitchen knife and work with both my hands to pull the light pole. I don't think I am explaining it any easy way. Let me make a quick video showing it. Maybe that's better.

Hi there. Quick question. i have cherry tomatoes starting to ripen and the first two i tried were very acidic. Do you know of a reason that would cause this? texture and color were correct. Aside from adding Calmag is there a way to prevent this? Thank you !
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 9 дней назад
I think the tomatoes need a little more time to convert carbohydrates into sugars. Please try giving more time before you pick. Or, keep them aside for 2 days after picking them.

"to 1 liter of water", is this 1 liter referring to the size of the aero garden or is the 1 liter referring to the water you dissolve the maxigro in? I'm trying to figure how much of the dissolved/diluted maxigro to put into my aero garden. Thank you SO much for this video!
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 10 дней назад
It's 1 liter referring to water, irrespective of the Aerogarden model.

Can I grow cannabis and peppers together in the same aerogarden? What would happen, just competition for light and space?
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 11 дней назад
I am pretty sure it works. You may need to limit the number of plants to 2, 1 pepper, and 1 cannabis.

I have a question when you’re picking the tomatoes off the plant are you just pulling them one by one or are you cutting at the stem?
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 14 дней назад
I pick them one by one as they ripe. Once all tomatoes are harvested, I cut the stem.
@Coreycane
@Coreycane 14 дней назад

@MrManDiller
@MrManDiller 15 дней назад
It is my understanding that the moment a tomato begins to ripen it has already internally separated itself from the rest of the plant. Therefore it is safe to remove the tomato the moment you see it changing color. It's possibly more important to do this when growing outside to avoid catching the eye of small animals that may eat your Tomatoes.
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 14 дней назад
Yeah, once the tomato started ripening, it will continue the process even after harvesting. So, we can either harvest as soon as they started changing the color and leave it aside until fully ripened, or let it ripen fully on the plant. I do both time to time.

Another much-appreciated educational video. I never heard of Purslane. I am about to order the seeds. My concern is growing them using the common-size baskets. Do the thick stems damage the common-size hydroponic baskets such as those used for AeroGarden Harvest?
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 16 дней назад
No, they are coming strong but not at the level of breaking plastic. I have plants with much stronger and wider stems. So, don't worry.

the grow sponges used here do not look like the aerogarden (or substitute brand) that you normally suggest. can you please let us know where to get these? i purchased some from a supplier, but, they are not economical. however, they do prove to attract less algae. who/where do you get yours from?
@aerogardenexperiments
@aerogardenexperiments 14 дней назад
Hi Michelle, the sponges used in this video are from ParkSeed that I bought a while ago. They are ParkSeed Biodome 60-cell sponges, amzn.to/3LTWwwf . I like them but they are getting expensive. So, I switched to a cheaper alternative amzn.to/3LSPnN1 that I have been using for nearly a year and they are working very well for me.

Thank you for this informative video. It seemed like the LetPot needed more nutrients, do you think if the Aerogarden had received extra nutrients it would have performed more vigorously? Also, is it better to harvest as soon the cukes are ready for increased production?
