Ok I don’t get it, isn’t there a refund/redo it for free clause in your first contract if they did something wrong? or do you sue them? How can it just be that you chose the wrong builder who didn’t know what they were doing so you’ve simple lost the money. What about criminal & civil action?
I love Miranda saying that! 9:50 I am not "that" cool either. That house deserves better 35:06 Do not like how that door fits there and hate that kitchen for that house.
GREAT idea for a show but sketchy editing and horribly REPETITIVE. We're told the same things over and over and over. I don't have dementia ... YET. It's annoying. I'd like to see more content/more of the actual work done and less chuntering on about what the future holds and how they feel about every little thing. Also, we get BITS of different houses but then the scene changes and we're introduced to new houses and new people. This is SERIOUSLY poorly done. Sad, because the idea is SO GOOD and all these renovations, of Britain's Great Houses and buildings, is vastly important and one of the greatest things about this country. I get dizzy from all the jumping around ... and then the superficial coverage is disappointing. Too much fluff and a little schizophrenic.
Keep the transoms. May be old-fashioned, but it is obviously a period feature of the home. If the transoms operate it will allow better ventilation to keep the air quality good.
(10:15) Trying to save money is admirable, but not doing your research beforehand ... can lead to disaster. And then trying to salvage WHAT DOESN'T WORK (using it in the same manner/place), is foolhardy. What you don't spend 'financially' can cost you so much time and physical stress that it simply IS NOT WORTH IT! Come on... have a look online to see if you can get proper tiles that WON'T warp ... at a cut price (perhaps people who are taking them out in favour of something else, or someone who ordered too many, or a company dissolving their stock... there are a myriad of ways...). A wooden floor? Can you put heating under a WOODEN floor without it warping the wood??? That would be my worry.
9:22 ... Oh! How sad. EVERYONE puts islands in their kitchen now and I happen to think that actually having a big wooden table... is just so much better (but then, who cares what I think...).
