I am Mihai, photographer, videographer and tech enthusiast.
As passions usually do, one lead to another, therefore I started with photography, started editing photos, then from that I got into RU-vid, I have this small channel, which really started me down the video-editing path as well.
I love story-telling and visuals, and those are the main two parts of photography and cinematography in my opinion. Therefore I am eager to keep learning and develop my skills, in order to be able to deliver a more and more compelling story, and take your guys along on this wild ride!
I have just bought second hand Pixel 7 and ... well, it was very very cheap and it feels to be OK phone. So I will probably keep it for a while until new phones come to market. So far I have three complaints: 1) It is terribly ugly (the shape, the back bar etc.). Overall it is a ugly design. But I admit this is subjective. 2) I cannot customize navigation buttons. Yes, I am not using gestures, they suck. But I was used to having "back" navigation button in the right bottom corner. Goodle has it in bottom left corner and this cannot be customized. 3) Bad sun flaring. The lens is probably very cheap material without lens coating. The flaring is definitely one of the worst I have recently seen. 4) Too strong HDR. I switched off Ultra HDR option but anyways, HDR is still too strong. I usually need to darken the blacks and shadows in post processing so that the pictures look more natural and less flat. 5) Photo settings allow adjusting brightness or shadows but the setting cannot be stored when I switch the camera again, my previous adjustments are gone.
When i use it in photo, the lens makes some noise when auto focusing. Is that normal? It's not that loud but you can hear it when focusing from near to far
I have this lens and the 150-600mm. At first when I got the second lens I thought for sure I would sell the first lens. But it turns out I still like the 100-400 for obvious advantage, faster aperture more compact size and still a great reach. So it keeps on earning its keep.
I love this phone it's so fast and has badass features, I just got mine brand new a week ago but the battery life on it is the worst out of the past few phones l've had. I even turned off all the background processes I could, use adaptive battery, even with standard battery saver mode turned on it still drains like none of that tweaking I did to save battery even mattered. What's weird is I spent a day messing around on the phone before I moved my SIM card over to it from my previous phone and that whole day the battery would barely go down AT ALL, but it was like as soon as it had actual service once I put my SIM card in the thing drains battery like it's life depends on it. Any tips would be great, but I'm pretty sure l've already done most of the battery saving tips possible from combing Reddit and google, and I'm pretty tech saavy in general and I've even stopped other unnecessary background process bloat through developer options. It's like there's literally nothing else I can change to make the battery last longer to my knowledge that I haven't already done. And what's worse is even when I go to sleep when the phone is locked and not being used I'll wake up to it to find it drops like 20% or more just sitting there locked overnight l've never had a phone drain that bad while not even using it.
@@hughjohns9110 Well, the now old Canon 100-400 IS II is the same weight as the Fuji, and on many full frame cameras is basically the same size as the fuji package. You'll pay a bit more, but that's the only difference.
For about $220 you can get a refurbished Google pixel 7 with 128 GB of data Long lasting battery or you can pay about $350 for a refurbished iPhone 13 with 64 GB of data and have to charge it up twice a day and they say it's the best phone what makes a cell phone is battery fast Internet the Google pixel 7 is the best flagship in my opinion because it gives you more options. I do a lot of voice texting and it does it perfectly in the Sampson and the iPhone cannot do
What store did you buy it from? I've been searching for a refurbished Pixel 7 and the prices range all from $180 to $300 although they all claim the same condition. Also the last time I bought a used phone it wasn't very pleasant experience, maybe because I'm just not a good buyer haha
I love it! It was a big upgrade when I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy s10e. It's features and blow the iPhone away. That is a very good phone. Also, on the refurbished market nobody buys a phone brand new unless you're in the suburbs. Everybody buys the phone this 2 years older to come out. Do Verizon or T-Mobile for way cheaper? I'll buy refurbished. I bought it refurbished excellent and it is excellent. It looks brand new. I'm blown away by its features. Its features are not on any other phone. It is a very flagship phone. The consumer has missed the game up like a iPhone. It's made in China. It cost about $80 to produce and people will pay $800 and it's not worth that. No phone is worth that
My wife's pixel 7 is the buggiest piece of crap I've ever seen. We have warrantied it 2 times and call quality is horrible, apps crash and freeze and txt show up up to 24 hours late. We are on one of the best mobile networks in our area too so it's not that
never come in from the right side ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6kJocX2KbyE.html , the correct way is from the left side and when you are finishing the shot , go out to the left as you did , that part is good ,the entering is bad . So a good cinematographer would make that scene a lot better , showing that it is not the camera its the user . It has good enough video to make documentaries , even movies . But the budget you would need for a movie is way beyond the price of the camera so that makes it not usable . But for Vlogging even good Documentary
iI have used pixel 7 for one year. Everything is working great except the battery. The phone runs out battery in 3 days with less use. If active use such as gps, it will run out in half day.
I have this lens (EX) in EF mount, and in this version it's not at all petite. I have an adapter to use if on my R50. Haven't done so yet. Love Sigma lenses.
Got mine recently, really love it! Light weight and affordable, the price is a steal on used market here . And the 30mm focal lengh (or 45 on a "full frame" ) actually suprise me. I found that it is very comfortable to shot with.
Credible review, Mihai. Nicely done w/photos and graphics. What characteristics make a lens look “sexy”? Don’t hear much about that quality in lens reviews. Two cats, one dog in this one. All of them your animals? You a cat person?😊 Black cat photo-bombed you in background. Cheers!
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it! And I do think the body of the lens is pretty plain and more utilitarian, and no non-sense rather than having "character" in some way, but not really a bad thing necessarily. Also pretty much a cat person yeah haha, the cats are mine, the black one likes to help with the reviews😄 and the dog is a wanderer coming by in the countryside, friendly fellow 😊
Reasonable suggestions, well illustrated, Mihai. I think new photographers should be flexible about subjects and experiment “on the fly” as opportunities arise. When shooting an event, for instance, don’t ignore good “detail” compositions and potential abstracts. Filters need not be a beginner priority, IMO - learn the basics first and then fill the needs along the way. Suggestion: next time place the microphone a bit further from your face so it doesn’t block your chin😊. Noticed the bike figure behind you; are you a motorcycle guy? Cheers!
Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions! Detail shots and abstracts are definitely always a great idea to try out indeed. And I do have a Kawasaki Z400 since last year so still pretty much a beginner. Occasionally I post moto stuff here: www.youtube.com/@motography9737 Also thanks for stopping by! :)
“If you can’t get great images with this lens, it’s not the lenses fault.” “Also, this lens will be up for sale as I will be switching camera systems entirely because Fuji af still suck and lens selection is minimal while costing as much as FF…” Same lol
People are so wrapped up in camera features today, I used a Canon A-1 for 40 years, I bought it in 1978 and made sure I always had a good firm mount or stance when I pushed the shutter button. I did not worry about shaky images then, I just made sure I did the best I could.
Yeah but that because it’s film so it doesn’t really matter too much on the camera but with digital the technology is constantly changing so of course people are gonna at least be up to date
I can tell owning one for 10 months. The power and volume buttons are not real responsive hard to push and for me located in the wrong place they should be swapped. The speakers on this phone is very weak I have to have a 3rd party volume boost to make it hearable.
Im loving my pixel 7 Pro no complaints. And obviously the camera 📸 is great. If I ever come up with an issue I will address it until then its all good 💯💯💯💯
