Gayle Sayers one of the greatest of all times if only his knees would have held out for him RIP MAGIC I bet you and PIC are telling God some great stories up in heaven
@13:01, Best keep their tongue in your mouth Isaiah, because in two years, you're going to head down to Houston and meet a running back named Earl, and he is going to put you on your ass!
In Maynards brilliant trumpet section was an outstanding young lead player who would go on to star with Woody Herman and later form his own Jazz/Rock band in 1970 we once knew as Chase. Bill Chase was but 23 years old in this recording. Before hired on the band Maynard asked him if he had a "Good High F" to which Chase said yes. Certain rumors exist regarding Bill's tenure on the band but can't be substantiated.
Looks like the SOB's of today (SAME OLD BEARS) I lost count how many times they shot themselves in the foot during this game. Why this was GOTW I guess to show off Lombardi's Boys and Sayers as a rookie but the game was never that close
What was the reason the NFC didn't play this game on Sat, before the AFC Wild Card game? Sun was Xmas and league didn't like games on that day, but to wait til Mon?? I'm sure many people were back @ work. The Rams were caught on a short week and flying back across country the next game and it showed. Wash won 51-7
people trying to compare that little roughing call to the egregious bs tuck rule call are freakin' morons lol it's not even close which one is worse, but keep your blinders on and your hate for the raiders that runs deep because reasons hahaha tools
Tequila Mockingbird was also used in a Get Smart episode. But heres.myrecipe for a tequila mockingbird: 2 shots tequila 1 shot of kahlua Pour over ice & fill with Dr. Pepper. Try it!
22:52 - yeah, just bloody move. Gervais doesn't have an answer, Pilky's is a solution. It looks like in 2024 they are all moving over here so once again, Pilky was right.
A week later, the Packers got to play the spoiler, when they downed Chicago in the regular-season finale and kept the Bears from winning the Central Division title.
The Colts were hot stuff in the league that year winning the NFL championship only to get embarrassed by the Jets in the Super Bowl. In fact, I was up in Green Bay last week to see the Packers take on the Colts, only it was the Indianapolis Colts, not the Baltimore Colts, and the Pack won that game.
'83 obviously was a watershed year in the NFL. Things fully went from the common 12-7 type games of the 70s to high octane, rack em up offenses....loved it. Super entertaining.
I was at the game with my father. My first NFL game. Rainy, soggy, mess. Great place for a nine year old to experience the relative speed up close, in spite of the rain.
I love seeing these old football games when the men were men the hitting was real and so was the grass and mud and snow in open fields none of this plastic grass or Astro Turf dome stadiums and oh God forbid if you touch the QB the wrong way or tackle a guy the wrong way. None of this high five after every play and pounding your chest the LOOK AT ME and dancing and spiking the ball and WR who are such devas have to think of a new dance step and move when they score a TD
