He's not that kind of a shooter. Brady Manek had the fastest trigger on the team. Comparison to Cormac Ryan is better, with Tyson being a better shooter, but perhaps a step slower.
He screams 3 to me!! Maybe a touch at the 4, but I think you will see Powell play more. 4. Portal still open, so hopefully, they'll bring another big in.
Everybody is acting like all we have is 10 guards on our them. We have big men, good big men that will play good if given the chance. I have confidence in Washington and High and our incoming players. I say we roll with what we got and see what happens.
If they didn’t come they didn’t fit. Either you’re a fit or not, Carolina basketball is an elite group and naturally everyone doesn’t belong in that type of culture. Go Tarheels!
Could it be the reason you don't see as many bigs anymore is because they aren't getting drafted like they once were? I think 10 or 15 years ago, Bacot would've been drafted after his 2nd year or atleast after his record junior and senior year.
If we are in trouble let's just play this year because last year we had a third big man which we lost for a lack of playing time especially play the teams that was physical it was a perfect time to put the third big man in that can play Above the Rim and has physical strength but maybe not playing time experience best 15 files all day because nobody going to come to Carolina if you going to stay the old way some things is good to stay the old way but today's time don't recruit nobody if they're not going to get at least 9 to 12 minutes of playing time cuz we all coming out of high school Stars just saying for great job coach maybe nobody told you this but that's just my opinion I love Carolina Grace and peace to Carolina Grace and peace to coach Davis however it goes we will have a lovely season but learn for not playing your recluse
I'm good with Jalen Washington at starting center as long as he hits the weight room hard this off season and comes back stronger and about 20 pounds heavier. We really need a versatile power forward. We need a 6'9" player who can guard multiple positions on defense and hit threes and rebound. We really don't have but one power forward and that's Withers. The freshman James Brown could possibly back him up but we really need a 6'9" or 6'10" big who can knock down threes and block shots. Go Heels!!
Clifford Omoruyi last name is not odd. He actually has a Nigerian last name, that’s a country in Africa, if you didn’t know. Please refrain from calling ethic names “odd”. Otherwise, your pod cast was informative. That early comment just threw me for a loop
They didn't come because they don't fit the culture at UNC. They aren't going to be giving anything. Please read the Cade Tyson interview. He said he wasn't promised anything.
I'm very comfortable with the guys they have right now. I am 59 years old born and raised in NC. Stop worrying about guys that didn't come. Tired of people talking about who didn't come. Just talk about who we have.
Players today don't care much about how good their college team is. They are concerned primarily with how much playing time they will get and improving their chances to be drafted by the NBA. This is why Carolina is having a hard time getting a good big man.
No there not in trouble in the slightest, rhey have more talent than 99% of teams....people forget jalen washington was a 5 star recruit when he signed but he got hurt again and slide down to a 4 star .....you all just of forgot .....Drake, cade , jaylen more than capable of being the 4
I'm not saying I don't agree with you bro but this is just the state of current college basketball 🏀 man the old days are gone and I hate it but if you not throwing money at these guys the big ten and sec programs definitely will man
As a fan for 25 year man idk if my heels are in trouble bro but I truly believe that we have to adapt to the current state of the collegiate game man most transfers that are upperclassmen probably want be great NBA players so they are going to be looking to get the best and biggest NIL deal that they can man the days of guys should want to be here because we are Carolina are years behind us
Ima be honest I don’t see why ppl think Criswell is a great add he was a benchwarmer his entire time at Unc and honestly Harrell needs to be the guy now so he can be a stud in the future. He may have the lower floor but his ceiling is way higher.
Yes Hubert is definitely the guy for Carolina basketball. Our whole coaching staff played for either Dean Smith or Roy Williams at Carolina and they are doing a really good job. There wasn't much if any fall off when Roy suddenly retired and HD took over. If Bacot doesn't sprain his ankle we win a Natty against Kansas in year one. Season two there was absolutely no chemistry from day one and it was like they had a hangover from losing the Natty. Season 3 everyone leaves over the summer thru the portal but HD and staff went out and replaced everyone with better players and we had a great regular season and just lost by 2 to a hot Alabama team in the sweet 16. If Bacot doesn't miss the dunk or RJ hits just one three we win and probably go to another final four. Great recruiting class coming in for next season and a bunch of key players back for season 4 and with the right center in the portal and Carolina is right back in contention for another National Championship! Go Heels!!
I'm surprised anyone would question Davis as the right coach for Carolina. UNC is now a consistent national power, finished top four in the polls, was just a minute away from moving into the National Final Four Championship, won the ACC regular season, and consistently brings in McDonald's All Americans and elite talent from around the world. There really shouldn't be any doubt.
UNC should have gotten Nate Oats, but I get that Ol' Roy wanted his legacy to be the first black head coach at UNC and I also get that they wanted to keep it "in house." Interesting bar bet: who turns to an "outsider" head coach first, Duke or UNC?
there's no controversy over this. the only people questioning him are those who are ignorant and don't know the game plain and simple or they're just fair-weather fans. if you're not content with a coach that made the national title game in his first year and then in his third year won the regular season ACC and was a number one seed with one of the better years we've seen in a long time. then your expectations are even beyond realistic for Even a great program like Carolina.
