I am a creative soul with a thirst for knowledge and experience. My content is less about the teaching and more about the lessons so please be kind! My brand, Color of Life, is my life motto. Life should be all about gratitude, sharing, respect, ingenuity and growth. Acrylic pours are my newest obsession but I've been creating on an epic level my entire life! You should too!! The content I post isn't specific to one type of art or creativity. Whatever I am currently obsessed with is what I am likely to share. I love fluid art, both acrylic and epoxy resin but I also love to design and build things. Woodworking is my strongest suite and water features make my heart pitter patter. I am on facebook as Vegas Mainiac Designs here facebook.com/vegasmainiacdesigns I post my current work and available art there My Makersplace storefront is here www.michaels.com/makerplace/storefront/vegas-mainiac-designs. All of my available art is listed
At first I didn’t think those colors would go well, but, by golly it turned out gorgeous.❤. Sorry for your heath issues. Hope they go away soon. Enjoy watching you 😊
Yes! Look up Louise McKay art , it's video #141. It works amazing if you follow her directions to the gram. She's also amazing! I used her recipe for a long time and still do when I run out of aussie floetrol.
I thought about that the whole time I was doing it lol. I had to force myself to behave 😆 Thank you🩷 it was a deliberate attempt to get those enormous cells!
@@vegasmainiac7745 That IS an awesome effect. Well done holding out to show us this one. :) Can't wait to see if you do ever the pleated version! (I just subscribed, just in case, lol.) Go on, we're curious. :)
I’m now a subscriber. Your channel, has just popped up on my feed. I love the Amsterdam Pearl Paints, they are truly stunning, once dry. I appreciate, the way you break down and explain every step, in your pouring process. As someone, who dabbles with this art form, it was truly wonderful to watch your videos and have everything explained so clearly. Thank you 🙏, I hope to learn a lot more from watching you, so that I can begin to have more success, with my acrylic pouring. I certainly feel a little more confident now, with the puddle pour technique. Thank you 😍♥️💐💐
I can't do blooms because of my health. I have COPD and that leaves me very sick. As well as migraines mixed with long Covid headaches. Not fun at all. Hope you heal up so you can return to what you love
I'm sorry to hear that, it's definitely no fun to have lung problems. I wouldn't recommend using any housepaint in your home with COPD. I do have few videos you can watch where I explain my no housepaint bloom recipe and techniques. If you're able to use acrylic paints and mediums, you'd be able to use that recipe.
Love watching your channel. If you could enable the closed captions it would be helpful. I am hearing impaired. The colors are wonderful. This is a fantastic bloom ❤❤❤
Thank you🩷 I worried about the closed caption working right, my accent is sometimes hard for it to capture but I'll give it a go. I hope it works right lol
I tried to edit the video post for over an hour last night and then realized subtitles don't work when there's no talking in the video🤣 It was a beyond rough day🤷♀️💜
@@vegasmainiac7745 I am not too much of a fan of pour art (not sure if that is the correct term) But GEE!! This is just so intricate and captivating!!! Thank you for sharing your art!!
Fantastic to see you here, this is wonderful! I have a few paintings in the queue to be varnished or resined (someday) and despite borderline religious post-it notes and journal entries I cannot figure out if the giant cells were a result of one of the days I played with transfer blooms and swipes. Do you think huge cells are typical result of transfer blooms?
Thank you! I'm glad you're here too💜 The giant cells are definitely from transferring, I don't get them any other way. I guess the trick is in the ca, if it's stretchy enough(like atelier paints according to August) and you don't blow too much and get lots of cells, the ca has to stretch and allow cells to pop through. So when you do a full transfer like this, they open really big. I can hardly wait to try it again! I'm ordering a few different atelier colors!
@@vegasmainiac7745 Super helpful, thank you. Although I have had trouble with Atelier for CA's and am quite sure I didn't use them for mine. I did use a dab of Boom-gel under my regular CA though.
OMG I just did one of these and it looks almost exactly like this! I was going for the kind Shelee does with the CA having small and big cells but it came out like this with the watercolor look. This one is so cool looking!
Haha me too! I don't hate this though! I'm thinking we need a slightly thicker ca maybe? I watched her do it at least a dozen times and that's really the only thing I can think of that's off. Did you video?
@@vegasmainiac7745 I video taped it but I don’t think I’m going to release it. I didn’t like the composition. Shelee said she uses the Atelier for the CA for these because it’s a stretchier paint so I’m going to try it with that and see what I get. When I mix the Atelier at the same ratio (3:1) it’s so thick, but I’m going to try it and see what happens, lol.
Welcome! Thank you🩷 This was first attempt after seeing Shelee do one, I'd never seen one before either. I freakin love it and can't wait to do it again! I'll concentrate on getting the blow right next time lol 😆
Thank you! Here is the link to the video with my recipes! I will be posting the full creation video for this bloom as soon as I'm home from vacation! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tznX8oynRzQ.htmlsi=CV2zjCWUgbEeYkNL
Lucky you! Maines coast is very jagged and rocky, only a handful of good swimming places, all crowded. I'm gonna be spending some time back there with my sister at some point, can't wait
Nice video. I especially appreciate the added tips about what you might have done differently. That’s very helpful. So, I’mll be a new subscriber. Hope you feel better.
Thank you Sue and welcome💕 I feel a ton better🙏 it's been just over a month since I removed all housepaint and varnish from my art and it's amazing how quickly you feel like your old self again🩷
I love your ideas. I use 1 part golden gel gloss 4 parts American Flo in my Dutch pours. I melt my pigmentation Atelier binder medium then add my gel Flo mix. My pigments are only pigments no paints mixed with them and the shimmer is amazing. I haven’t tried my recipe with a cell activator yet. But watching your video now I will try it. Please check me out on RU-vid. I’m your new fan my friend
Thank you Rhonda and welcome🩷 I definitely watch your videos every chance I get and LOVE your blowouts! Your work is stunning! I've never used Atelier but I hear it's really great quality and I'm planning to order some soon. I used the pouring medium before I started blooming for all my fluid art and, when I needed to stop using housepaint, it was my starting point. I thought I was subscribed to your channel but I'll double check. RU-vid loves to unsub me from channels on a whim🙄
