Welcome! Thank you for watching my channel! Lots of news in upcoming video but for now, a fantastic technique to get huge, juicy cells with traditional housepaint blooms.
My pillow is Sherwin Williams Color 2 Go extra white. Bloom colors are modern masters Pharoah's gold, TLP(this little piggy) showpony, amsterdam azo yellow light, cobalt blue, TLP golden peach and amsterdam turquoise all mixed with Behr 8300(discontinued) and Josonja gloss varnish, 3 to 1 ratio. My cell activator is amsterdam prussian blue mixed 1 part paint to 3 parts Australian floetrol.
I used a 10" glass trivet to blow out the bloom on, transferred with a piece of thin clear acrylic onto a 12x14" basic canvas.
This spinner is a 16" acacia lazy susan purchased at Home Goods wrapped with Glad press n seal.
Thank you again for being here, MUCH LOVE!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oooooooh...new subscriber here! I love this idea! I may have to try it myself! I've done transfers before, but never the double pillow bit. Brilliant!

Welcome! Thank you🩷 This was first attempt after seeing Shelee do one, I'd never seen one before either. I freakin love it and can't wait to do it again! I'll concentrate on getting the blow right next time lol 😆

OMG I just did one of these and it looks almost exactly like this! I was going for the kind Shelee does with the CA having small and big cells but it came out like this with the watercolor look. This one is so cool looking!

Haha me too! I don't hate this though! I'm thinking we need a slightly thicker ca maybe? I watched her do it at least a dozen times and that's really the only thing I can think of that's off. Did you video?

@@vegasmainiac7745 I video taped it but I don’t think I’m going to release it. I didn’t like the composition. Shelee said she uses the Atelier for the CA for these because it’s a stretchier paint so I’m going to try it with that and see what I get. When I mix the Atelier at the same ratio (3:1) it’s so thick, but I’m going to try it and see what happens, lol.

Atelier must have more binder. I haven't tried it yet but now I have to lol. Thank you for that info! At least post a Pic of the end result😁

Hooo Mama, that is awesome! Total newby here; Why the transfer step?
@vegasmainiac7745
@vegasmainiac7745 16 дней назад
Thank you🩷 transferring stretches the bloom, opens bigger cells and spreads the underneath colors to the surface.

Oh wow, nice technique and a great result!❤ Now I'm wondering how it might look if you 'pleated' the transfer?
@vegasmainiac7745

I thought about that the whole time I was doing it lol. I had to force myself to behave 😆 Thank you🩷 it was a deliberate attempt to get those enormous cells!

@@vegasmainiac7745 That IS an awesome effect. Well done holding out to show us this one. :) Can't wait to see if you do ever the pleated version! (I just subscribed, just in case, lol.) Go on, we're curious. :)

Fantastic to see you here, this is wonderful! I have a few paintings in the queue to be varnished or resined (someday) and despite borderline religious post-it notes and journal entries I cannot figure out if the giant cells were a result of one of the days I played with transfer blooms and swipes. Do you think huge cells are typical result of transfer blooms?
@vegasmainiac7745
@vegasmainiac7745 15 дней назад
Thank you! I'm glad you're here too💜 The giant cells are definitely from transferring, I don't get them any other way. I guess the trick is in the ca, if it's stretchy enough(like atelier paints according to August) and you don't blow too much and get lots of cells, the ca has to stretch and allow cells to pop through. So when you do a full transfer like this, they open really big. I can hardly wait to try it again! I'm ordering a few different atelier colors!

@@vegasmainiac7745 Super helpful, thank you. Although I have had trouble with Atelier for CA's and am quite sure I didn't use them for mine. I did use a dab of Boom-gel under my regular CA though.
