There is nothing more to do than accompany our Maria in her beautiful outfit on her walk where there is nothing more to say (just see) (and listen to her)
I think I'm ready to say what I think about the distance between the artistic environment in NY and the rest of the West. (And far be it from me to be a New Yorker) But I'll wait. If it weren't for the cameraman, I would say I wasn't at your side to take care of dinner<3
😂😂читаю комментарии ,и многие уходят в философию😂😂 если это искусство, то все гораздо проще, либо нравится или Нет. Вопрос в другом, А Искусство ли это!? Тут каждый решает Сам.
Many years ago, I had the opportunity to meet Leon Golub and Nancy Spero during a studio tour with a group from SAIC. It was a week-long trip to NYC, billed as a class, "New York, as your open studio tour." Everyday, we went to galleries and art museums with the two class instructors. It was interesting to talk with Golub about his time at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a contemporary of many of the artists who became known as the Imagists (Ed Paschke, Roger Brown, Jim Nutt, Gladys Nilsson, etc.) but was never considered part of their group, nor did he participate in the landmark exhibit "Hairy Who" at the Hyde Park Art Center. Glad you got to see Golub's Mercenaries, which is a powerful painting.
When Mary Lynn walked through the door into the Patrick Wilson exhibition I thought "Oh god, another load of brightly coloured geometric shapes!" But then close up they turned out to be quite exciting. In fact, if I had the cash I'd seriously consider buying one ! I also thought the Hilary Pecis exhibition was a triumph.
I've been a fan of Leonardo Drew for years so always nice to see new works by him. Patrick Wilson I've never seen before and absolutely loved his works. I especially appreciate you showing the works from a distance and then showing them up close in detail. Wilson's works look great up close and I'm sure look even better in person. Thank you for posting these videos and how you film them. Believe me there are some bad videographers out there. Your videos are always worth watching.
Thankyou...another video full of fantastic artwork. Particularly Philip Wilson and Hillary Pecis, their use of colour is just WOW! And I was mesmerized by the movement in leonardo Drew's work, he's like some kind of artistic wirlwind...amazing.
leonardo drew I didn't know but that space was exciting and as you gave us the info that they were reused materials i was drawn to that concept. golub surely provokes thoughts and debates in our head, otherwise what are we doing here! unlimited power in the hands of limited people always leads to cruelty A Solzhenitsyn terrific video so early in the season. no one's getting me out of that bookshop.
Thank you ❤ for the tour of Chelsea. Nice to see Leon Golub get some recognition, of course Guston is now part of art history 🌟. Liked Hilary Pecis, gave me David Hockney vibes. Leonardo Drew l still haven't worked out, that first space looked dangerous 😂. Thanks from Aoteroa New Zealand ❤
Really enjoyed this walkthrough and discovering Josh Kline. I was delighted to see Pieter Schoolwerth too, his Weird parties were such an important part of NYC music/art culture.
