The Barrao assemblages are interesting; I wouldn't mind seeing more of his work. Nakamura @26:15 is good. Too much mid-to-late 1970's DeKooning (and by default, Cecily Brown) in Goodman's work.
A few artists to enjoy here: yes it's like there's almost joined up thinking about concerns and reflections on the environment. The works by Catherine Goodman are of the kind of fully conscious use of paint and mark making that float my boat though: stunning in that nice space. Special shots at take off and your own style is quite something 'today' : we expect it so it's a bit naughty of us really.
Brunch at Manuela, my favorite place. Lennox nepo baby ptgs seemed contrived and student amateur, just the sort of stuff influencer “curators” love to gush over. The Goodmans were more muscular than Cecily Brown, but basically the same thing with more paint. Still, as a lover of painting, it beats seeing rooms full of old coats, cigarette butts and used tv monitors pretending to be installation art. Love your outfits! 🌫
Big fan of Wanda Koop. She has gallery representation up here in Toronto so I get to see her work in person. Also enjoyed many of the other artists in this video, so, again thanks for posting.
Thank you for the fantastic tour....Koop Tong Lennox terrific... And then... Goodman who, so far, knocks it "outta 'da Park!" Dazzles the viewers with color and form and energy recalling without taking from Goodman a Pastiche of sorts of Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Mitchell, Pollock, de Kooning, Matisse! I Love L. A.! Keep safe on those Free Weighs! Meep Meep. P.S.I work in Pastel Acrylic Ink glue plants herbs etc and other multi media hope you don't mind me saying beats watching tv.. Your Tours really inspire.
