A grade to Shalabh ! He is an exceptional husband and dad . I especially loved that he spoke out during that dinner supporting his wife saying that the reason that they are teasing her is because they know that she will get it right and will be unstoppable. Zarna , you are unstoppable !And you have both done an excellent job in raising your children.
There are lots of dogs who are fussy eaters as well. Atleast with a baby, you can show some cute toys and distract them to eat or push the food into their mouth.. but if a dog doesn't eat, its just torture. And there are lots of families who actually make homemade food for dogs. You really need to raise a pet rather than throwing one sided judgements. Yes raising kids is hands down the highest and biggest responsibility but that doesn't mean raising a pet is no responsibility at all or is easy.
100% with Zarna. I am not scared of dogs or cats. I truly agree that pet owners take offense if people who are not into pets cause of fear / hygiene issues / just that they are not into pets do NOT love on their pets like they do. Hygiene was ONE big reason I did NOT used to eat food at office pot lucks (pre-covid times as now office pot lucks don’t happen anyways). Not trying to generalize but all the pet owners I have seen let their pets eat from their plates, lick them, drool over them and their hair is flying all over the house and on all surfaces. Being a germophobe, I just can NOT trust the hygiene of the foods they have prepared. NOPE!!! I know that pet owners take offense if you tell them that they are not invited to stay at our house overnight with their pets especially when those pet owners want their pets to sleep on the beds with them in MY house. I really do NOT get that. Why do they want to visit my house and enforce their choice of lifestyle on me who is NOT comfortable with their choice especially NOT being OK with their pets sleeping on bed. I am anyways SUCKING it up to even let their pets stay in MY house even though I am a germophobe but NOT ok with their pets sleeping on our beds. I feel pet owners can be quite ENTITLED. I am sure NOT all are but unfortunately all that I have known are. I am unapologetic about me NOT being OK to share my living space with a four legged animal. Stay with me for what I am sharing below.. I will come to the obsession of pets especially in America and the hypocrisy around it. I became a vegan at age of 14 when I saw animals being sacrificed. I just could NOT put a piece of meat in my mouth after that. Also, I am a germophobe and I was never raised around pets, which are usually dogs or cats. There are these pet owners I know who started calling me “How come you are a vegan and you do NOT love animals”. I listened to that 3-4 times. And then I said to all these meat loving hunters that “I love ANIMALS and that is why I became a vegan. I do NOT pick and choose which animal I will love and which I will eat. At least I am not a hypocrite and I do NOT call you out on that. I respect your choice of lifestyle. So it would be nice if they could respect mine.” Thanks Zarna for bringing up this topic.
Not "a man's" best friend. The expression is "Man's best friend" as in mankind. Humanity. Domesticating dogs was a mutually beneficial step in our history for survival. Making this into some gender war is weirdo behavior.
No my husband said it's my dog so it's my responsibility. My daughter also has a dog and it's my responsibility 😂. My husband takes care of the bills so I take care of our 3 kids , 2 dogs and 1 chicken.
