I'm pretty sure I said that in this video, or the previous unboxing video. The car he bought still had my old channel logo on it. It was good to see him running it. #goodtimes
mine was ordered last night on its way now should be here tomorrow i’ve got same motor esc combo as this also same motor mount i’ve brought the titanium screw set and upgrade gear set to lose the alloy gear can’t wait to build mine i’ve watched this video over and over
Just got mine, from a design and engineering background this truck is exceptional. Your mods have made such a difference. I was thinking of a 14t pinion along with bigger tyres, what did you use? I'm a racer learning big air and flipping. Appreciate your videos dude, indeed not many on this. Fantastic, beefy truck!
paul did you apply glue around edges of carbon fibre i’ve seen a few builder that have also im going to be using same motor esc combo did you use temp lead as it don’t look very long the one i have i know it can be extended need be cheers
I didn't on this but I did on my Avante. Not really sure if it necessary TBH. I had one of these ESC's which the wire snapped. Still ran fine. As long as you not daft with gearing ect I think it will be fine.
@@FullOnRC thanks i didn’t know why people bothered gluing around edges so i will wait and see what it looks like when it’s here and if temp cable don’t reach it won’t get used lol i’m going to run kit gearing so should be ok plus like my other cars probably won’t overheat on shelf
I thought about turning my muscle car into a rally but you need a hell of a lot of parts. Front and rear bumper and body mounts. The shocks are also different. I am sure there are more different things you would need to change. I don't think it would be cost effective TBH. Can you not get one imported?
What a battle the last lap or two! Going into the last lap the two of you were all over one another as he was looking for a hole, but you kept closing the window and shutting him down for a dozen corners or so! Pressure was building between the two of you too, till finally an error midway through the last lap gave you the breathing room to finish the race in 3rd. A little frustrating on that one crash you had near the end with the marshal moving slowly, then erroring on flipping you over and having to repeat it (heard it in your voice). My marshalling isn't the best for sure, and I know a few of the other racers (well, one in particular) hates it when I marshal his races, likely because I'm slower than the 14 year old I live with, but in my mind I'm moving pretty quick and as fast as I can. All told, you're racing is TONS better than 2 years ago (has it been that long?) going on your 3rd season of outdoor racing I think! Thanks for sharing Fhuz oot.
Yerhh repect to Lee for keeping it clean. He really put the pressure on. Bit gutted I dropped to third after sitting in 2nd for a while. I forgot just how tough Southport is after not being there for a while. Still good to get a top three finish. Car felt great TBH. I took the time to service both my racing buggies. Raced the 4wd on this day too but I kept over driving into the first right hander after the start finish line but broke it twice. Shattered a front drive cup half way through the day. Luckily a racer had a spare. In the 4wd final my steering link came off and I lost 75 seconds. 4wd was too quick for this track, or my reactions too slow to get much out of it. Still a great day. Cheers for tuning in Fhuz.
Congratulations 3rd nice racing and the weather held good too.. can’t wait to get mine racing now , big like mate, a smashing great video.. ohhh yeah 😊👍
Challenging day buddy with the weather and it never seems the same when your not at your "home track" but not too bad results in the end mate.... Have a good week matey
@johnboyrichy5452 tbh after this race, I gave it a service including the ball diff, and one of the lower bigger bearings on the gearbox was seized. Don't think that was a factor, but the ball diff felt rough as a bag of marbles.
The Kimbrough #124 HD servo saver works very well & has a very strong spring. This Kimbrough saver works on the 4s & 3s Arrma's, ever so simple mod needed on the saver. You just have to cut the 2 square corners of off the saver with a junior hacksaw because of clearance, the best part is these servo savers are only around £7 - £8 each & easy to get.
Cheers Yerhh I seen someone do something similar with a cheap plastic servo saver. I have used the Hot Racing ones before and like the quality of them.
After that race, did you walk the track to find your Mojo? o_O JK ... a couple of really brutal laps to start it off, you were way over driving in the first half. Finally settled into the groove for the last few laps and it showed as you were pulling away from the group coming around to lap you. Slow and easy can win the race, just set your pace and you'll be in the cat bird seat. Nasty spill onto the straight midway that put the marshal in harms way to retrieve you, luckily there was a lull on the straight at that point. Been busy building my B4.1E eBuggy the last few days. Have it together, and my boy wants to go turn some laps tonight (instead of baseball) with our 2 new rides ... hoping to get to the track to do that with him for an hour and get back in time for the game (though I think he's just stressed out with baseball and tired of it at this point.) Lookin forward to our trip to Kamloops this weekend, my mom turns 80 on Thursday and she's excited to see him compete up there (where she lives). I can pop you a photo on FB of our buggies if you like. Might have some footage next week to share if we go up. Thanks for sharing Paul! Fhuz oot
Yerhh man I just couldn't find me groove. As soon as I woke up I was like "Can I really be arsed" and had to drag myself to the track. I guess it was just one of them days. Yerhh I would love to see some pics of your new rides. Although I have got a real twitchy finger for buying new RC stuff ATM. Drop us a message when your race goes live on your RU-vid running them. Good to hear your old lady is looking forward to seeing your lad race. Make sure you get loads of photo's.
Definitely a challenging race that happened me last sat showers then when the sun came out track was dry in places and getting the dreaded grip roll, but great to see Paul your racing is great please show us more, big like mate
@@FullOnRC that’s my thoughts i’ve got the electrics sitting here ready max 10 4000kv combo same as you’ve fitted only just brought a 6s mojave so gotta give it a little rest before i get next car lol
I don't think the drive train would take it tbh. All the drive cups are pretty soft. Already showing sings of wear. Take it skate park next.....I wonder how long it will last....
Just from my experience it is an excellent truck basically as is, I upgraded the Esc to a blx 100, I definitely would not even try it on 4s it will break the driveshafts, even putting in a 3660 motor kept breaking driveshafts on 3s so I went back to a 3650 motor and it’s perfect, I just geared it up a couple teeth
