Past Channel History: Hey guys! We here at Third Chair have taken many routes of channel use, starting off as a group Let's Play channel, into a solo Let's Play channel, into Stockton University's official Melee/Gaming channel. We try to offer the best quality content for anyone to enjoy. As of now the channel is whatever I feel like doing, but for the next year it will continue to be Stockton's finest quality Melee and other side event footage. third chair in my recommended after all these years, the gods are telling me to pick up melee again (i used to watch your character tech and chaingrab videos back when i didn't have an online alias around 2018-2020, these were always super helpful when polishing my ness and im happy to be seeing your stuff again :) i was actually thinking of picking melee back up and playing around with G&W lol)
Just fyi, fsmash is surprisingly safe on shield because if they stay in their shield then don’t do anything, but if they release shield then you can do the second part of fsmash.

Can confirm the "misfire at will" rumor. However, we Luigi mains like to throw for the bit, so we often use it at seemingly random times "for the funny"
Ive got another swag tech for the kirbys out there, down b on the slopes of yoshis and slide all the way down, when you fall off youll have the hitbox back. Makes very funny edgeguards
honestly for a character thats described as "super technical" there's less here than i thought, a lot of it's side b stuff which is never gonna be viable and bombomb stuff which you hardly ever pull. especially not enough to set up intricate traps with
Is that legit or not? I am still really baffled u gotta hit B 6 times to gain any air that is like impossible for me I can see how it gave people arthritis
@twotamatos It's legit. I change my grip when inputting down B, position your thumb and forefinger pressed together over the B button, then tense the SHIT out of your forearm and vibrate the controller.
@@Business_Blue okay I feel what ur saying I could not get past 6 but if u can gain a tiny bit of momentum from it it’s worth a shot honestly I may not have what it takes to play competitively if u gotta hit 6-15 but u can still master wave dashing smash attacks to make him much more of a threat I can see where Sakurai said I’m never gonna make another game like that where u gotta mash that much just 1-3 mayyyybe 5 at the most button mashes luigi would be so much better if it was just 3-5 button mashes not 6-15 that is too much I don’t want arthritis
Doc's down-tilt can actually hit an opponent very close behind him and send them forward instead of backward. It usually is not the intended effect, but could have some use.
For young link bomb momentum cancelling, thing, you could probably drop some on the ground to control where your character moves and if u see a point where you will probably get hit by something, you could grab the bomb to reset where you'll go and still survive
Thanks for including psi-dash. It’s very underutilized and makes platform stages very good. Ideally you want to utilize tap jump instead of double tapping X to maximize distance and reduce physical effort.
