People always forget that the Game Boy was very powerful, although the screen was its big drawback, but its powerful hardware helped create impressive things. The Game Boy has a faster CPU than the SNES even though it is 16-bit, and it also consumes little power.
The main RROD cause (GPU Failure) is due to a design flaw within the GPU itself. The TG underfill within the GPU that surrounds the solder bumps wasn't high enough and allowed the solder bumps to flex and crack, breaking the connection. The revised GPUs started appearing in mid to late 2008, your Falcon, if it does have gpu failure, would have been one of the very last production runs of faulty GPUs. If you get the secondary error code, press and hold sync and press eject 4 times, you can find out what the issue is
I don't think Puzzle Bobble 4 on Dreamcast is 'kicking' you out on purpose. My guess is the wild inputs the controller is sending are crashing the game (so sending you back to the system menu)
I've held on to my ps1 Doom copy since 1997. I really liked it, but it all clicked when i combined it with Brutal Doom Platinum 2.0, into a perfect package. The weapon sounds are MUCH better and the gore intensifies the atmosphere even further.
Xbox has literally never recovered from Xbox One. Their strategy for the original Xbox and the 360 - games, games, games and pushing advances in online connectivity and gaming - was thrown by the wayside and they've never been able to get it back. It's always lagged. Even with Gamepass and Phil Spencer, it's never been able to find it's footing again, to the point post-Tango, it's looking like it never will.
Hey Derek, i dont know if you'll see this but I wanted to let you know how much of an inspiration you are to me, i grew up watching HVGN and listening to Retrobeats as they were coming out, so much so that i ended up running my own VGM podcast, i just wanted to express my gratitude towards you and your work, thank you <3
The actual cause was not the design of the 360s, it's the materials used for the GPU. in 2008 They figured it out and started fixing 360s & Making new fixed models like Jaspers and Tonaskets
Densha de Go! Yeah! The switch controller is actually quite good. I got into it cause of techmoan. I got some of the plug and play ones. Seriously weird. You play thinking “what a silly concept” and 2 hours later as you are trying to get a high score and perfectly land your last stop it’s unreal.
Fun video! Loved this series. There was another public transit simulator on Dreamcast, called Tōkyō Bus Annai (Tokyo Bus Guide) that I had a total blast with. Although it’s a shame they never released the oversized steering wheel controller for the home.
One issue controllers like this might have when staring a game is, because they may be set up as if they are already inputting a command, the deadzone can be off or it takes it as an input always being on. That is, if you hold right on a controller when you started a game, or plugged a controller in while holding right while the game was running, you may find yourself constantly spinning. Either it will take it as the input is always on, or it will take it as a new deadzone resulting in "right" being neutral and "neutral" being left. I used this as a trick for one of the super smash bros challenges where you had to defeat hundreds of enemies to unlock something. The tips said use rubber bands or tape to hold down and b for donkey kong (floor slap). I simply held up and b when plugging in a controller.
@@StopSkeletonsFromFightingif it makes you feel better, you were definitely not the only one with this feeling in 2021. Hell I bought a Series X (I had totally skipped the Xbox One gen) thinking they were turning the corner. But yeah, here we are again.
At this time they could just emulate Win98 and be fine but no, this ancient technology of ancestors is forever lost in time. So they hire about 3000 workers to make a shitty port of ‘93 game in four years filled with crunch overworking underpaying and few râpé incidents.
Doom console ports and 3DO Dooms story cound make thier own The Gaming Historian video "Reminds me alot of Atari ET Story". I didn't put in The Angry Video Game Nerd since James alreday did that.
Companies can learn about this game and Becky, exactly what happens when companies rushes out for the upcoming holidays, greens (Money) is more important then the overall quality of the game, so sad, guaranteed, if Becky had alot more time and not being rushed to get the game out, no doubt, the overall quality of the game would have been drastically better.
