I have two different types of clecos, the one mainly used on this seam works like an alligator clamp so no hole is needed. I can’t always use this type, and need to use the regular cleco with the 1/8 hole drilled, I do weld them shut when I’m all done.
Such awesome and detailed work, sped past and seemingly taking no time at all! Always an enjoyable watch, so much condensed into a short video. Some day I’ll be as brave as you to completely strip apart a whole rear end and not worry that I won’t be able to put it all back together again 😂 Keep slayin 🤙
Undoubtedly, but, definitely, knowledge mixed with experience is a formidable power that makes the toughest job possible, and, easy provided it is applied correctly by professionals
Undoubtedly, but, definitely, there’s no alternative to “ PERFECTION “ . That’s means “ No Cutting Corners “ . That’s means “ Attention To Minute Details “ , no matter how small.
This is 100% not failing. You have learned a very valuable lesson with this MIS-TAKE. I will call you out for you self negative thoughts and words and tell you, 'you are the sun, you are loved by many and shunned by the miserable' great job Mr
One day I will have a garage of my own and will use your videos as reference to restore my bus. Until then my bus sits quietly in the garage of my condo where I can’t sneeze without getting fined.
When I first bought the bus I was in a townhouse with strict noise rules, the garage was almost too small to work in, I remember the pain. Life always changes though!
By this sort of frame repair it is better with an inlay, in german we call it "Schuh".. means that you weld a 20cm Part into the frame to make it harder to twist..
Man Brandon I am amazed how good you are getting at doing this kind of work. I know in the beginning you had very little experience and now you are looking like a total pro...excellent work. Like the use of panel adhesive on those seams. really keeps the rust out.
I appreciate the encouraging comment Mike! Like you said, when I started and didn’t know anything just getting better as I learn new techniques. Your channel was a huge inspiration for me to start this project, so thank you, I hope to run into you one day at a show.
Yea man! It’s not easy keeping up with filming and editing but I enjoy it for the most part. I think YT likes more consistent and frequent posting to grow, but I do what I can.
Just a short video, but I hate to think how much time it would have taken to do the preparation of all those panels. And what a tedious but essential task. Thanks again for the video and best wishes.
Well done bloke. The thought and effort you are putting into rust removal and prevention would many a professional. Factory. ‘We’ll spot weld this on’ Brandon. ‘I’ll glue and screw it. And weld it. Possibly rivet it later on too’ That bus ain’t never coming, or rusting apart again….
Hahaha it’s true, I’m obsessed with corrosion resistance and the panel bond glue is amazing at that plus it can be pinch welded thru so it seemed like the best way to go.
