This was the road leading up to our Airbnb in Guanacaste in Costa Rica. The video doesn't show how bad the road actually was due to video stabilization. The road had 2 foot deep ditches full of water. I am glad we had an AWD SUV. If you are visiting Costa Rica, don't rent a compact you will be sorry. There are potholes that could swallow a small compact car. Go for an AWD SUV since you may have to cross a creek or 10. Not all roads are this bad or good. We did have to cross a few creeks to get to our Airbnb.
