I've just come off of a free consultation and felt really comfortable until the transition and knew I had to get to the bottom of this one.
You're so true on the NLP part. As an NLP practitioner but also as a marketer I can't agree MORE. I was trying to tell some of my practice partners that want to start a coaching business to stop boring people with the details of their NLP jargon
Question as a copywriter would we be responsible for recording the content for a client social media account like filimg the product being displayed via bags hats apparel etc. Not just coming up with wrtting it self
My coaching pitch goes as follows, please critique me.I work with individual Chritians and a group of Chritians who feel inadequate because they are unable to live out their God given potential, to discover and manifest such, so that they can be content and fulfilled. My name is Joseph (South Africa)

Great question... first it depends on the client. Is it a client looking to buy a property? Or a client looking for the right agent to SELL their property? Then I would put myself into that person's shoes. Let's say it's someone wanting to sell. What concerns do they have? What bad experiences have they had in the past? What are they hoping to avoid during the sales process? What would feel like a dream sales process for them? What kind of agent would feel like the perfect fit for them? Think about how that person is feeling, and then reflect that in your content. EG: Have you finally made the tough call to sell your family home and downsize? Are you worried all the real estate agents out there are just after a quick buck and don't really care what a huge step this is for you? How would it feel to have an agent who won't just work hard to get you the best sales price possible, but who truly understand the rollercoaster of the sales process and will be there every step of the way to make the transition to your new home as smooth and stress free as possible? All I'm trying to do here ^^ is imagine how that person might be feeling, and imagine what they might WANT out of their real estate experience, and then speaking to those points in the content. Let me know if that helps
I am working in Real Estate firm , We have some commercial/ Hospitality projects where people invest and get monthly Return plus Annual Appreciation on their Investment... I want to share the caption of my FB post for you to check and review if that content can more improved
well i'm not going to write the landing pages. But i think i can gain something from it and after watching your video, i try tosummarize. To write a compelling landing page, we need to to the following: keep it simple strong headlines: problem-based headlines/ desire-based headlines/ add a statement to explain what and why make it super sexy add curiosity strong call to action
Great video, Melinda. The content is really very practical and easy to understand even if i am a starter at writing in the social media platforms like linkedin, tweeter & facebook. I definitely post the same content every time. And i also start to write the SEO articles. Hope to hear your tips
I struggle with how to niche down from weight loss? I'm trained in holistic nutrition and my clients have changed their relationship with food, and lost weight when working with me. Not sure how to articulate my message.
Have you thought about leading with an aspect of weight loss that people find especially hard to deal with? Or something that often derails their progress? For example, you could lead with something like "cravings". And people say "OMG I always struggle so much with cravings... if I could get my cravings under control that would help so much" That can open the door to a conversation where you can then share how a holistic approach is what they need for lasting results
Your content is Gold! Thank you so much. You're great at what you do. I've been struggling with this because frankly approaching people on social media can be intimidating, but like you said it's about how we ask for the interview. As a nutrition/weight loss coach I struggle to find words that feel natural and don't seem offensive to some people.
That's so sweet of you to say. It can definitely be tricky when you're dealing with a sensitive issues like weight. I would definitely suggest asking in groups or public posts rather than directly messaging anyone (for hopefully obvious reasons). And I think your intention makes a big difference when it comes to booking these interviews. If you go in with genuine curiousity, huge gratitude for anyone who shares their time, and a generous offer for advice in return... that intention will come through in your requests.
you're totally not alone Susan. Here's a couple of videos that might help you articulate what you do in a way that makes people want it: To get clear on your "elevator pitch' watch this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ahX7bZ7H364.html And to clarify your marketing message, watch this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OTObLn07ykc.html
The more i watch your videos the more i love & search for ur noble content 💚 Melinda i am a hvac engineer starting freelancing from scratch in design construction so what is essential to attract clients & get projects from them quickly ? Which books to read or articles, to become an Online Entrepreneur which is demanded by the todays market..
That makes me so happy to hear, I'm glad you've been loving my videos. Congrats on starting your new business. Rather than reading books, or articles, I'd suggest you get straight into action. It sounds like you have a specific niche, so I'd be searching LinkedIn to find people in Design Construction to connect with and learn more about the "problems" they're struggling with right now, that YOU could potentially help to solve. If you search my channel for "how to book market research interviews" that will give you a good guide. Having those conversations will be the fastest path to get projects because... A) those exact people might want to work with you... or B) they will at least arm you with the information you need to connect with MORE people just like them, and to position YOUR work as the exact solution they need.
@@melindakitto Thanks a Million 😊 for helping me with Invaluable tips !! Now i can start connecting with potential clients directly with linked in as u mentioned👍
Great content! Some of the best information on social posts I’ve seen! Biggest takeaway - Get the prospect thinking, “What’s in it for me?”. Thanks for sharing!
My biggest light bulb was learning that there needs to be a logical connection between my introductory offer and my signature offer. I need to create those bullet points to amp up the desirability for my offer! WHAT A DISCOVERY! Thank you!
Great takeaway!! You could come up with 100 different ideas for a freebie, but if you want that freebie to entice people towards your signature offer... your signature offer needs to seem like the logical next step!
Great videos.I have been taking down notes from your videos and will implement . I am very new to social media. I am having difficulty in identifying my core pillars. I own a luxury boutique homestay and want to market it on social media .
I'm so glad my videos have been helpful. For your core pillars, think about your ideal clients and what they might be interested. Perhaps content around what to do in your local area / local attractions etc. Maybe content about taking time out / relaxation / self care etc? Have a look at IG reels and follow accounts who offer a similar experience to you. There could be some really fun ways to promote your homestay as a better alternative to a hotel. Good luck!!
you're totally not alone Andy. I appreciate your informative videos!! I run a wire wrap crystal jewelry business through Etsy and I use Instagram, Twitter and Tok Tok for advertising. When you mention “appealing to a problem” an audience has, I struggle to find what “problem” that I would need to emphasize in regards to crystal jewelry shopping. The only “problem” that comes to mind would be clients struggling to find affordable crystal jewelry, but I don’t want to lower my prices in order to appeal to this problem, so I’m not sure that’s a great selling point for my business While I think appealing to a problem is very applicable to a career area like self-help, I’m having a hard time applying this selling technique to my own field of work. Do you have any ideas off the top of your head that would apply to my specific audience?
Hey Marissa, great question. I work with service based business so my advice isn't really geared towards product businesses. However, here's some things for you to consider. You've mentioned focusing on the price isn't a great selling point for your business... so what IS a great selling point of your product? Are they one of a kind items? Are they unique... not some mass manufactured crap from a chain store? Think about what you DO want your customers to know about your products and what would make them choose you over other options... and then flip that to find the problem. IE... looking for the perfect piece of jewellery but sick of all the cookie cutter, mass produced items from the chain stores?
Brilliant Mel! Thank goodness I found you on one of my pandemic walks. People - Run, don't walk, to join Mel's training! Working with Mel completely shifted my mindset on my messaging for my ideal client.
