Cool video! I agree, finding your ideal client is very important in order to grow your business. Also, having a customer avatar is very important. We will make a video on this soon!
Ok, this is your best video yet FOR ME! Downloaded the worksheet, this is really going to help me, and looking forward to next week's video. Thanks Melinda!
@@melindakitto I liked breaking it down by where they are on the journey, also, how does that problem show up in their life, and how to really break it farther down to get to a defineable "individual." I had some people's names when I defined my avatar, but I didn't link it to their commonalities, and although I think I do well understanding individual people, groups are different, but if the groups are composed of the same "individuals", why, I guess that makes it easier.
@@melindakitto Yeah, I got it! Cause I'm doing another course, and I had to create a story. I couldn't use MY STORY, so I had to use the story of one of my students, and I even gave a name and country, the problem she had, and the solution. Yeah, I'm gonna go back and revisit this and use this method for future videos. Thanks, Awesome advice!
great advice as always! Getting to know my ideal clients and understanding their pain points (in THEIR words) made it so much easier to reach them naturally.
Love your tips and I've used similar tips in the past to hone my messaging and start attracting my ideal clients! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise!
Yay, so glad it was helpful! My ideal client(s) is/are a newer writer who may not know exactly where they fit in and or what workshops to take etc.. I help her/them gain genre clarity and develop a clear path to reach their publishing/producing goals.
@@melindakitto I have all this done on my sheets! :) Writing workshops aren't for one thing though, don't worry though it's clear, I'm clear on my ICA. :) For newer writers and even ones with experience, they don't often know which ones are for them. For example, a children's book author (age 0-18) may not even know the SCBWI exists, and screenwriters may waste time at a novel conference, TV writers writing comedy but spending thousands on drama workshops could find a faster way. Does that make sense? :) I love your content. Goes hand in hand with what I've learned from Marie Forleo and continuing to learn in writing copy.
Glad you liked it. That's weird that the link isn't working, it seems fine on my end. Can you try this link? melindakitto.kartra.com/page/idealclient If that doesn't work, send me a DM on Instagram @melindakitto and I'll help you out
