i have the same one . mine seems to have lost the TCB time clock backup setting. i used to have it set at 5 days . now it cycles every other day . all other settings are there . weird any ideas??
Check the circuit board that the TCB tab is in the ON position. Then scroll through the setting and when you come across one that says DAYS that’s where you adjust the interval you want. Keep in mind if the power goes out for an extended period of time it defaults back to 3 day intervals
@@TheH2OBro thanks a lot , it worked it was in the off position. not sure how it would have got there?? power has been off here lately for hours . maybe it tripped or something.
Thanks for what you do bro. Watching your vids have saved me a ton of money and more importantly stress. Having crappy water for the family is no bueno, rust color toilets and can't do laundry etc. Huge PITA. Watching your vids tonight I fixe my plungers ast least temporarily to get water out of my salt brine tank. It's regenerating now and water level is going down Sonam assuming it's working. Took it apart, cleaned it up and out it back together. Also figure it out I need a new flow sensor. Took that out and inspected it and it's no good. Panel says 0 gal for the day which ain't right for sure. Would like to send you money bro to let you know how appreciative I am. If nothing less I'll be able to sleep tonight knowing I'm making some progress. A sincere thanks brother for doing what your doing . Thank you. Sincerely appreciative. More than you can know. I've so stressed out on a Saturday evening dealing with iron water. Eh what a mess. Thanks brother. Thank you.
I would make sure feed water to the RO is off and make sure the you are inserting the filters the correct way and twisting clockwise to lock them. Sometimes it just takes some force + wiggle to get them to seat properly. Good luck!
@@TheH2OBro I was able to solve the problem of the new filter refusing to rotate into the installed locked position. On the inside of the receptacle for the CF filter, there is a small circular device (approx. 3/4") at the furtherest rear end of the Culligan. I reached my hand inside the opening and with just one finger rotated it clockwise until it stopped turning and then I was able to easily install the new CF filter in place and rotate it to the locked position. I hope it helps anyone else with this problem.
I don't have the same model as you, but the settings are the same. Very helpful video. I had to reset time after a power outage. It was helpful to see what each setting is for. I'm saving this video for sure. 👏👏👏👏
Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you have a bad seal pack that’s constantly draining water in to the brine tank. If you replace that along with the eductor that you stated you replaced already then you should be all good after that
@@TheH2OBro thank you for your reply. So the seal pack was replaced last year by a Culligan tech so I don’t think that’s bad. It’s been about a week since we changed the eductor kit. I went into the basement to see if there were any changes and noticed the water was clear now (before it was dirty) and the water had gone down 50% of what it was. So about a quarter of the tank is full of clear water. My question is, does it take time for all the water to go down? If so, how long? Also, there’s no salt in there right now. Should I add salt? Or does the seal pack absolutely need to be changed? Thank you for your help!
@@samirawahid4523 sounds like your water softener is working properly now! There should always be about 1/4 tank of water in the brine tank, that is normal! So no, you do not need to change the seal pack. What happened was you replaced the eductor but had to wait for it to regenerate to draw the water out. All you need to do now is add salt 👍
@@TheH2OBro I’m really sorry but I have another question. I went and got 6 bags of salt. When I added them to the tank, the water just kept rising. I had to take a bucket and scoop water out. I’ve never had that much water in my tank or ever had to add that much salt and still have water showing. Is that normal or something still wrong?
Any way you could make a video for the HE aquasential head so we can figure out how we can make adjustments, our tech is not helpful and regularly has made mistake after mistake with our install. Imo glad to find a tech that knows Culligan softeners at least online with you.
I'm having this problem with my unit and I can't seem to find that wheel for sale anywhere ? Can you recommend a online source to purchase this or a part number?
I don’t have a part number available at the moment but if you go to your local Culligan and ask for an HE flow wheel they should be able to sell you one. In the mean time you can get your water softener working again by doing what I did in this video I tagged ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zBYLneCRc-U.htmlsi=i-AfwDbKZbb6WCbY
Typically it’s 3-5 years depending on the output TDS reading. When it gets too high the red light on your faucet will light up and start beeping. Then it’s time. It flushes via the faucet and takes 30 minutes
I accidentally changed the RO membrane before I saw your comment. Its only been 1.5 years. I feel bad for not utilizing it to its potential of 3-5 years. Can i take out the new RO membrane and save it? Or once its wet it has to be used. Thanks for your insights.
Hi! I am new to this & subscribed. Am replacing my Cullingan drinking water system which was installed 2019 . Am going with this latest modern Cullingan Aquasential Smart Reverse Osmosis. Your video is indeed helpful for me. I just paid for it today…. So installation will be done sometime this week. Looking forward to your learning videos. Thank you!!!!
Thank you for the video. Do you know how I can do a factory reset on the system? I have the Aquasential Select Plus Series Softener and after a power outage it has stopped showing me the CAPG, FLo and GALr options. I'm hoping a full reset of the system will bring the options back.
Yes, on the back of the circuit board there will be 10 dip switches. Simply slide them all to the OFF position then back to the ON position and that will do a factory reset. One thing to note is that typically a power outage will only reset the time of the day and not the settings. How this helps and thank you for watching!
@@TheH2OBro Thank you! I was able to do the steps but am still not seeing the CAPG, FLo and GALr options. Do you happen to know of any other way to get to these functions apart from what you show in your video? Also, I’m looking for an O-Ring replacement for a Seal Pack and Brine Piston and Sleeve Kit. if it is not too much trouble, since your system seems similar to mine, would you happen to have a part number for that or know where I can look to get the O-Rings? Thank you so much for your help!
Honestly I am not sure why you can’t see those options. Only thing I can think of is you have an older water softener and it’s set to regenerate by day intervals (tcb) and not by gallons used. As far as the seal pack, I don’t believe there is replacement o rings available only. You have to replace the whole seal pack and brine piston assembly as a kit. You might be ok with just servicing the seal pack. Here is a link to one of my videos on how to service it. Hope this helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--KZaz49ihMs.htmlsi=dLZXBS2F-zivNabd
@@TheH2OBro Thank you again for your help! Do you know if all models use the same seal pack? If yes, do you possibly know the part number for your seal pack and where I can purchase one?
Hey thanks for watching. It’s called an HE flow impeller. If you can’t source it you can always just set the water softener to regenerate by day intervals. I have a video on my page showing how to do that
Thanks for the video. I’m wondering about pre-flushing the membrane for 24 hours that the manual calls for 😮 can I just remove the capillary tube and run the water through it with the other new filters removed to perform the flushing and removal of the preservative?
I think you would have to plug the tank inlet on the manifold if you want to do it that way. But honestly if you drain your tank twice you’ll be good 👍
You need to lower the capacity of the tank. Yours is probably at 800 gallons meaning it will regenerate when you hit that mark. If you lower it to say 600 gallons then it will regenerate sooner. Hope that helps
Yes E1 E2 E3 and E4 are all codes indicating that the water softener is stuck in a cycle and is not advancing to the next cycle for various reasons. One of which may happen if the power goes out while the water softener is in the regeneration process. If you follow these steps in the video you should get it back and running. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching
Hey papa you make the best videos of cool looking water and I love him so much people should also like And subscribe if they don't I don't know what they are doing videos of no comments in here but you have the best videos and I hope you know that and also you're the best at making Korean videos
You are the best that we can call again water how do you make a cool looking water could you do it so well you're the best at doing it people should like And subscribe if they don't I don't know what they're doing
Completely agree with you. I have AC 30 for 20 years. I have bought other membrane filter and the TDS are high around 120. Culligan OEM is around 15-30. I am guessing you get what you pay for. Thanks again.
