Man, I've been traveling a bunch for work lately! Maybe I'll set some time aside next week to film and edit something! 🤔 You're in industrial maintenance, too, right? Do you have any video topics you'd like to see me cover?
ProbeMasters have less resistance. No contest there. Not super important for most industrial settings, but certainly something to keep in mind if testing circuit boards.
I’m a retired electrician and sold off my fluke’s when I retired. I bought the CL390 after I realized my two other budget meters were unreliable and one of them died. Oops! Bad decision on my part. What I despise about the 390 is the beeping when changing modes, it drives me nuts.
I bought this as a DIYer, seems to be the cheapest name brand one you can get for DC Amps (Car work). Hopefully it lasts me a very long time if not lifetime for the price, as a bonus it will be a good tool when I become a homeowner.
Nice choice! It offers a lot of features for the price! The DC amps feature IS very handy for auto/small engine work. Sounds like you made a good purchase 👍
*I read on the Simple Green website that their product shouldn't be used on leather and suede shoes, but sneakers it's ok. I don't know why that is. It's just what I read on their site for their article about cleaning shoes 😅*
Huh! That's interesting! Maybe it dries out the leather or breaks down the fibers? My boots have held up fine so far, but yea, not something I'd use on my high end boots 😆
Nice bag and tools bud! Hey if I had those Milwaukee stillies I’d of done a lot more then gouge into them in 1.5 years 😂 they’d probably look like they sat outside for 20 years and beat up to f**k 😅
Lol! 😆 sounds like you get shit done though!! yea, I only pipe fit about once a month. I've already broken a milwaukee 10L from side loading it, though! 😁 oopsies!
I'd say yes if you get into 1-1/2" - 2-1/2" pipe a bit. They're handy for general industrial maintenance and repair as well. I use the 16" version of these much more often. I'd get that one first. If you like it, think about rounding out your toolbox with the bigger set.
Thanks! If I had to do it again, I might go with one size down as well. The bag is very bulky, and I tend to throw too much crap in it, making it way too heavy to carry more than a few hundred feet.
I have Fluke TL-27 heavy duty test lead cables. They are heavy duty but less flexible, very similar to what the T6 has. With the ability to change the ends for probes, gator clamps, and other accessories. Much more industrial.
I feel this is a very useful video. Have seen and had many pairs of pliers. I also saw many I'd like to have from other mechanics tool boxes. Mac has a great small set of electrical pliers.
Sure is! It's fairly compact for the ammount of storage as well. Nice size for hoisting up ladders, riding in tight elevators, working off small platforms, etc.
Hey man, very helpful video and. Weakest link in our maintenance department is the electrical knowledge base. Sucks to be at the mercy of outside contractors.
Lol, that's what I said as well... right after a bright flash! I used a 80g flap disk to re-shape the nose. Then I jumped to a coarse scotchbright, then medium, then a blue fine. Used a little die grinder. Probably took 8 minutes. Hope this helps
It's the TP-LC made by Veto Pro Pac. Pretty handy. I'm thinking about upgrading to the TP-XXL because it has the meter pouches on the outside. Spendy packs, but worth the money imo.
Thanks man!! I'll record and post a part 2 next week. I'll go over some additional troubleshooting procedures that I didn't cover in this video. Thanks for the sub! 👍
Sort of... if I have my phone linked to the meter and recording a graph, it will catch inrush. There's also a "max" button, but I'm not sure how accurate it is for inrush.
