Coloured nationalists are racists and have the same excuses we have heard for a hundred years. The fact that journalists and other leading so called coloured and sometimes called black (for BEE) don’t talk against it when they have in the past is telling.
I dont mind coloured nationalism and think it is necessary for the identity. But I have to ask what is "coloured nationalism". When the Afrikaner was trying to built up a spirit or feeling of identity, after the destruction that the British caused with their concentration camps, fighting off their invasions of this country (by farmers yes - not a formal army) and in fact COLONISED US WITH THE REST OF THE COUNTRY, (thats correct - there were three independant Republics where actual economic growth and infrastructure building took place in peace with the few local tribes) forcing us to fight in WWI, not giving us jobs at their sacred British companies that was ransacking the minerals of this country, we were blamed as being racists, apartheid, refused a nationality because, after 300 years, we were still not indegenous. Now all of a sudden we are "Boere". Call me a Boer - it is no insult because it is a term coined by terrorists who lost battles, killed pregnant women of villagers by AK47 bayonet, who called for the help of the racist SAPS). My point is this go for Coloured Nationalism but know a lot of this crap will come your way....considering how many of you are in the ANC, government, high positions in departments and security forces. You may just be called racist, nuwe aparheid, not South African because you are not totally indegenous, etc. See my comments wide of the Western Cape. Your brothers and sisters here in Gauteng and other provinces dont have it so good.
This guest and host must think that ordinary South Africans are sponges that exist solely to suck in their sick propaganda. The Minister is trying to right the wrong decisions of the past Administrations by putting South African indigenous natives first. What is wrong with that. He also rightly understands that only those in Power can effect change and challenge the status quo. In terms of politics, he is definitely not a politico - theoretical purist. However, his pragmatic approach to the current political mess is exactly what the economically marginalized 'politically ignorant'' voter majority find refreshing and appealing. Yet, the privileged 'political elites' and their cronies have a problem with his approach. Give the Minister a break. He asked for 100 days. Until then focus on something/body else. We have had enough of 'intellectually astute' politicians who are only there for themselves and to do their masters bidding. I suppose it is a case of 'he who pays the piper, calls the tune'.

Mosques are places of prayer, silence and sacredness and the areas around them are crucial for maintaining such...can COCT come to the table with an alternative plan to accommodate the development?
Obsession with race politics is as evil as the Devil's mindset. These are just ideas well cooked from the dungeons of hell. In a country with such a rich diversity of cultures, it's important to emphasize unity rather than division, because the opposite is just pure evil,and lacking in love.
If SA is serious about restoring the climate (as per its NUMEROUS international agreements & commitments, awa to save SA lives) then a JUST transition to EVs is essential - it's something SA MUST plan for (reskilling, retraining etc). As mentioned in the interview, most auto manufacturers won't be making ICEs after 2035. We must consider whether the price of petrol will go up or go down as demand for fossil fuel falls - will the cost of extraction, processing, distribution & sale for a small minority of ICE vehicles drive the price up or down? That is, it may be better financially to transition to an EV sooner rather than later (I'm waiting for conversion kits to become more widely available!), although cheaper EV models are starting to make an appearance (finally!). We must also consider that at some point finding a petrol station that stocks petrol might become more & more difficult. SA also needs to discuss what type of charging stations they would like to see - there are so many options. If EVs take a while to recharge please have coffee shops & entertainment facilities available eg recharge while we shop or have a cup of coffee etc etc. In many developing countries its the 2 wheel EV transition that's been more important. Here battery swop tech is perhaps a better way to go? Additionally V2G tech has the potential to aid the enegy transition where EV owners will be able to earn money supplying the grid with energy during peak demand. For example, in the usa -school buses earn money by feeding stored electricity into the grid during peak demand thereby subsidising school transport services.

The problem with Fadiel is his short memory. Here's a reminder: Coloureds never objected to being classified second on the food chain of race classification, pre 1994. Blacks were last for everything in this country. All the ANC did was to reverse the hierachy. Salaries had a hierachy - Blacks earned the least and the coloured people never as a group fought for equal salaries for the same qualifications or jobs. The thing is , Blacks will never catch up, affirmative action or not, because of Apartheid policies which among others like the Group Areas Act.which removed Blacks from the proximity of industrial areas and cities made it difficult to improve their lot because of pass laws etc Today most Black people's salaries go towards paying for transport. Even the price of their homes should they wish to move to nearer the city, would never fetch the same price as those in suburbs closer to the city which then makes it difficult to sell their homes and end up incurring debt for the same size of property. This is a fact based on municipal and market evaluations. The ANC cannot be blamed for everything that has happened to Coloured people since 1994. Apartheid appears to be very difficult to dismantle because it was branded into our minds hence the rise in nationalistic ideology. We all have different experiences and perceptions about whoever governs this country and it does not look good since we are now responsible for the divisive ( called nationalist)politics that seem to shroud the whole country. We never learnt a thing from our past.
As someone who has lived in every single province in this country. The western cape is the best run with the best infrastructure. If people dont like the way the DA is doing things, they are welcome to move to the eastern cape or KZN and then come and have a chat to me about how the DA is failing in the Western Cape
there are no people called coloureds in Africa we have black Africans and other people who came to live in our continent are white European settlers,Asians and Arabs. There's nothing unique about what coloured people are experiencing in this country that black people and other groups that were previously marginalised haven't experienced.

I am neither a Cape Colored, nor a citizen of SA. I am a White American & sympathetic to Cape Coloreds in SA. I think the ANC treats them like ****. They do the same thing to Whites & Asiatic Indians. In the Western part of the country there is a multi-racial movement for Cape Independence. I am not exactly sure what reasonable South Africans should do in the Eastern & Central parts of the country, Cape Independence is a viable solution for the western part of the country.

At Westorford High School, they have a club called #POC Club! Is that Racist? There have been many "Racist" "incedents" in the last 20 years which have had a lot of media attention , yet a few months down the line 90% are declared not guilty with only a foot note. I think rascm in schools today is a storm in the tea cup, my lived experience is watching sport where kids and parents get on, I watched a touring English school with two of their kids punching our diminutive black wing, only too be resucued by our two big white locks that sorted out the English with no mercy - forget this BS and embrace South Africa - as for diverse - forget this rubbish, for SA to become more diverse, you would need to import more white people - this woman, a social engineer is a danger to our children

So, to even claim they aren't the first nation of Southern Africa is ridiculous and ignorant.
