Prisoner's TikTok boast about prison good life goes viral 

I can remember as a child taking the bus to school, we used to see the prisoners working in the garden every morning.

The prisoner i visited would tell me what they eat everyday. At most times their meals were a lot better then what I was eating at home

To foreign nationals, all the prisons in South Africa are like hotels. Fools, they don't ghink about wasted years they spend in prison.

They must go back to the system where they go work in the morning and come back the afternoon that's why they catch on such nonsense

That's nonsense they are doing crime from inside prison with the phones

So they can pay for the food, water, electricity and toiletries

They have it too good in the prisons , it's very obvious!!

Wardens allow the prisoners a lot of privileges on return for help or food from kitchen etc

We dnt even get good treatment in hospital

This is why this country is poor. Why pay for foreign nationals, AFTER he has committed a crime outside the prison, which shouldn't have happened in the first place. Used up court time, and now living cost free better than many, in prison. This money should be saved for our inferior health services. Dah!, Now they are looking at REHABILITATING PROCESS ASWELL. WHY ARE FOREIN NATIONALS HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I agree with Chris, prison conditions are beyond brutal. It says a lot about us as people that we think this is acceptable.

Eastern Cape East London in West Bank prison has got very poor service; it is a walk free zone. No searching of people and vehicle; my friend walk in with his firearm . Female prison wardens that were on duty were just busy on thier cellphone.

Yes, and they kept interrupting Pieter Groenewald in Parliament, it was disgraceful, he couldn't finish a sentence without the speaker interrupting him for points of order from rude eff and mk members 🥴

Groenewald please do something why are the prisoners living soft when millions of law abiding citizens live in poverty. 😤

Also at Ceres the kitchen staff received lots more privileges because the wardens were given meat & fish from the kitchen. In turn the prisoner working in the kitchen is allowed by the warden to go and spend some time in the warden quarters with the wardens. These prisoners also then received loads of cigarettes from the wardens

You cut off the guy talking about inmates getting raped but we need to talk more about lives being destroyed in prison. When they are released they come out worse because of this traumatic experience. 😢
