Thanks for the memories. My grandfather got his 100 in the fall of 1983. He had to put on some good reading glasses to see the display in order to program it. When the battery was either dead or removed, there went your programming. When I first saw it, I was confused because there were no flashing channel indicator lights.
Its more than I could pay. Its a sharp looking radio with the Art Deco styling and not as big as a floor console. I imagine a 12 tube set would've been a luxury item during good times, never mind a depression.
I know that this is a very old post but do you remember what model of GE delta was this? I have a Package Number: N3A111 Combination Number : N3HH1N110TB Transmitter and Receiver 150-174 MHZ how can you modify it to go lower in the amateur radio 2m band?
@cttv90108 I do have some, but do you remember if you had to do a realignment on that delta radio, i.e., Transmitter and Receiver to go into the 2m ham band?
My A/C is blowing warm air and when I bought freon is showed the psi being 91. I also checked the fuse and it was ok will this solution you just did fix my problem
@@cttv90108 That’s a shame. I did give it a complete strip down and inspected the PCB but I’m no electronics person to be able to check anything and other than something obvious, I could see nothing.
@@cttv90108 I was thinking it could be the power supply itself but unless I can get a known working one, it's tricky to check and, like yourself, all the molex's give out 5v for the brief period it stays on. There was a guy selling a converter cable for an ATX supply but looks like the demand is not there any more and has dried up. I found the destructions for creating my own, but there's possibly outside my talent range!
In my 2013, the plastic tube (from the A/C) that he pulls the rubber drain hose off of was clogged with algae. I stuck a small screwdriver in it and circled it around until the quart of water backed up behind it broke through. Thankfully, I had a bowl with me to catch all that water and algae in. :-)
So I have an old one as well and I’m trying to figure out how to get the screen turned back on the original owner told me he had a black-and-white one and the one I have right now it’s one of his other ones but the black-and-white one he broke the back to by accident and he said these both workedbut now I noticed the speakers unhooked. Everything else looks fine it the bulbs are warm too touch when I plugged it in the screen won’t pop up so I don’t know what to do with that.
I just picked up one of these yesterday. The speaker is shot in the power supply. A friend of mine is going to bring the voltage up nice and slow for me. It's missing about 3 Sweet tubes. So I don't know yet what's going to happen. I figured that once I get it going, IF I GET IT GOING, I'll replace some resistors with some more tighter tolerance ones. I definitely have my work cut out for me! Lol De W4NZX 73
May you still have the schematics / service manual for it or can send me the link, I was sadly unable to find it on their website I'm restoring one for a computer and technology museum Would be very helpful
@@cttv90108 Thanks for your response, also found it today (wasn't expecting it in the manual) Seems like a problem within the powersupply as the second transformer isn't working (50V where 300V are expected), continous voltage where AC is expected...
Why does this sound like Shango? If this is shango066, I'm so glad you got these...you're the best person on the internet to have vintage TV SAMS Photofact sets
Would this device work for broadcasting an RF signal over rabbit ears attached to the output? Currently eyeing a different Blonder Tongue Broadband Amplifier and just wondering.
My eye doc tells me I have glaucoma, and a cataract on my right eye. And I put one of these Chinese wonders to gather and presented it to her. Hi hi if can at 72 years old I double dog dare you.. odn1
Whilst these were being developed the post production world moved from composite to component video. Economically if you had them you stuck with your Vpr3s.
Kaisers Iron Mountain? Closed in the 80s. Had a railway that ran past Desert Center. When the mine closed Desert Center died. The school at IM continued to be used. The site was a prison for a while. Recently there is a caretaker living there and he waters his grass so its the only green in town. I believe the upper industrial site is still in use. Rail speeders use those tracks.
It looks a lot like New Idrea although you did'nt show the mercury vapor condensors which are prominent. Heavily contaminated superfund site. For a while used by some scamo psychological counseling group which brought in more modern furniture. May have been torn down by now. They had a busted organ too and lots of Hidden Valley. Truck loads. There are vids of the mines which have several portals. The county has turned a nearby mine site into a park. Mercury was used in some methods of gold refining. Idrea was the second largest mercury mine in the world.
I had an old intercom system that worked like this. It worked well but with one gottcha. In the usa your 120 volts comes from a 230 volt center tapped transformer. As long as you plugged both units into the same side of the transformer it worked but if you had one plugged into one side and the other plugged into the other it wouldnt work or was very very weak. both had to be plugged in on the same phase for lack off a better term. so both breakers had to run off the same phase in relationship to the transformer feeding your house.
