Nice! I see your infused jewel weed oil is very light in color compared to other tutorials I have seen that shows a very dark infused oil, but those videos where with a quick warm infusion. Wondering if infusing the quick way makes it darker? But I prefer to be patient and cold induse it like you do. Found some Jewelweed today for the first time and harvested some. Letting it wilt overnight and will chop it and infuse it in oil tomorrow till fall. I have some infused oils that have been infusing for over a year... too many things to do with too little time, but so good to have on hand. Thanks for your videos. Love to learn new things. Blessings :)
I first came across your video "Swirls with a spoon" when I was learning how to make swirls. I absolutely loved it, subscribed and watched pretty much all your videos. Thank you for sharing your skills and teaching me how to swirl. I do have one question on the Zig Zag Taiwan swirls. How much of the batter do you have in each cup for coloring? Thanks
thank you for sharing. please tell me you added fragrance before lye solution. it wont sieze the soap batter? are you offering any course i wanted to learn from you
Can you do a video about preservatives in soap ? Since the cure time drys out the water is it necessary? I’ve been seeing mixed reviews. Thanks love the video new subscriber
I just tried table sugar and am not 100% feeling the results, one gelled and the other I put in the fridge. We’ll see… but I have an excess of molasses and will be trying that! Thanks!
Question: the product says it can be applied directly onto wood. What is the reason for applying it into the foam box in lieu of brushing the inside of the wooden mold? Does it actually stick to wood, contrary to the product description or is it an airflow issue?
I once tried glycerin, suggested by my dermatologist. BAD idea. It wouldn't incorporate, of course, so I had to scrap a whole batch of salve bcs of course glycerine is an ether, not an oil & honey is a water base, which isn't an oil either, so you can't blend either of those into your lip balms. Just skip them all. Use oils, 2/3 of them hard oils, w/ a wax, and castor at least 10% of the entire formula. It does WONDERS for your lips, & 5% of Vit E as well. My GROWN kids love my salves in humid & cold weather climes both, & those 2 ingredients are never missing. I do recommend Nature's Bounty Vitamin E w/ limonene oil. It's barely noticeable, but it's not only edible but good in your skin as well. Makes wounds heal faster, & you can take it as drops in your food. I but it & gift it to my kids, as well as use it in my sauces & my cereal.
You were my first soaping teacher, and I made my very first soap using your Bastile recipe for myself & my Nanny, hers I scented w/ lavender eo. She loved it so much she's asked for it every single year since (2014 was that 1st time!). I, being the loving daughter that I am (not that I'm addicted to soap making 🤭🧼😂😅), have done my best to make it for her every Summer! And extras for my sister-in-law and my nieces, in fun shapes (turkeys last year), ingredients from my garden like organic bananas & mangos, & scented w/ freesias from a tree that got some sort of infection so doesn't exist anymore. 😭 You've been an inspiration, and a sanity saver. Thank you from the bottom of my sudsy, soapy, heart! 💜
I followed the link to buy the alum but I ended up with a powder instead of the big mineral rock that you had. The bag says it is aluminum sulfate. I read there is also potassium alum. Is it the right one? It smelled bad when the soap was mixed but now smells ok. My soap has been in the mold 2 days and is too soft to unmold.
