I’m infusing pineapple weed same way right now. It’s great for insect repellent and has a sweet pineapple scent and citrus scent. I keep mine out of the sun. I’ll be soaping with it.

If it grows in back yard you prolly have poisen ivy in back yard.ive heard it grows where poisen ivy grows.

@@eloisebush4595 not where mine grows. No ivy at all. Mine grows right beside my garage and driveway. I was just looking at them yesterday and they are beautiful this year. Tall and big flower heads on them. I have no other plants, weeds or ivy in the patch of pineapples weed I have. I see it everywhere where i am in the laneways and gravel areas.

I adore your videos soooo much, i would recommend letting the oil infuse in a dark place though, sun light, and most other lights, degrade the medicinal values of plant material after they have been taken from the plant. But again, i love your videos soooooo much, happy soaping ❤❤❤

I find it easier to use a muddled and mash the greens or plant material being used to infused. Muddler is used in cocktails, to mash fruits, veg etc. I’ve tried this with dock leaves, Great in a backpack on a hike.

Nice! I see your infused jewel weed oil is very light in color compared to other tutorials I have seen that shows a very dark infused oil, but those videos where with a quick warm infusion. Wondering if infusing the quick way makes it darker? But I prefer to be patient and cold induse it like you do. Found some Jewelweed today for the first time and harvested some. Letting it wilt overnight and will chop it and infuse it in oil tomorrow till fall. I have some infused oils that have been infusing for over a year... too many things to do with too little time, but so good to have on hand. Thanks for your videos. Love to learn new things. Blessings :)

Jewelweed is also good for stinging nettle stings. They seem to grow side by side so it's convenient to take some off and rub it on the sting.

Gosh i never knew what that was it's all over across where I live there is a stream of water that comes off the mountain in a few places and I didn't know they were of any value, just looked like a water weed, glad I got a recommendation, cause it's been a while since i've seen any of your vids.

I'm a little confused on the ingredients here. I see that you added beez wax, but don't see it listed or the amount to add. Also in your ingredient list you include activated charcoal, which I don't see you use in the video. Did I miss something?

Is it supposed to smell a little like poop when it’s infused? I may have left mine for too long? Probably was 3 weeks to a month

No. A bad smell indicates bacterial growth in the oil. Plant material should always be dried before it's infused in oil. Oil + Water = bacterial explosion. Her videos are GREAT - I'm not disrespecting her content, but in this case... it's not the best practice for infusing plant material into oil.
