Hi everyone. I'm John and I'll give you a little background. Yes, I do love drums also. Don't get to play them much now but love to relax and play along with a bunch of my favorite songs. However, I've been fascinated with cranes since I was a kid...a lot like the drums. I'm retired now and with a little more free time I like to build these 1/50 scale cranes and display them. I've built models since childhood and most were planes and cars and tanks. And yeah, I'm a car lover too. I've had 2 dragstrip only cars and pretty fast street cars all my life. Now, I have my 9th Camaro and it's the ZL1 with the 580hp supercharged engine. Love my Camaros too. So as you can tell I'm just a regular guy like most of you. I was an electrician by trade and retired from US Airways in 2013 where I worked in maintenance repairing and maintaining the Baggage Handling System which is a fancy name for a computer controlled conveyor belt system. So I'm really just a typical worker like most of you.
A2B or ant 2 block not a line brake. But beautiful would love a link to where to get it im a crane operator and im running this one right now. Also rooster shiv not rooster neck 😂
@@stevensantiago8397 they're pretty inexpensive compared to the crawlers lol. Check with msw-modelle.com. They have the best prices typically but you may one on ebay for a fair price. Good luck bro.
@@Billyboyy105 if you mean the main boom....yes. it's a pretty functional model. Of course the jib also is adjustable. Nice tracks, rolls effortless, and the carbody turns 360 degrees smoothly. Hooks need a load on them to raise or lower without jumping sheaves. Awesome model and very popular. Get the extension kit...you'll like it even more lol.
@@helenaarnold4734 oh heck yeah. I'm definitely getting a CC2800 in Tadano colors....waiting for a solid word on the extension kit. Also definitely getting the LTM1650. Looks like an awesome model. Just getting things taken care of around the house first. I'm widowed so there's a lot to take care of around here alone. Kids are around 40 and on their own so I have to take care of everything around here alone. Lot of work in the big home lol Stay tuned and I'll try to get something posted asap.
A reeving tool. The flexible needles I talked about work the best for most models. As mentioned, many models come with one. Some in the same bag that has your winch tools and if needed, nut and bolt tools.
Hi there mate latest news from ycc models they released a add on mod kit for ltm 1750 Part no. 517 but only available to view on azcrane concurrently As the product wasnt available on the english website yet..not sure whats the reason
Hi Angel. I'll leave a few links for you below. There's some on Facebook group sites you can search. 1/50 scale models for instance. Several of those sites have people selling their models. Today, an LR1600/2 for $850 I saw is a fair price. I recommend msw....best price! Good luck and contact me anytime for help. msw-modelle.com buffaloroadimports.com LinkBelt.com Nzg-shop.eu.com 3000toys.com
Hi. Well, it depends on how you reeve it but around 30-40 feet will work. I recommend using braided fishing line because it's stronger and easier to reeve with. I reeve a couple different ways so the length of the rope was never a measurement....whatever you're using usually has over 40 feet on the spool it comes on. Reeving by the instructions seldom fills the winches and I like them looking like the real thing. I'm not sure if you need help reeving but I've posted multiple videos on reeving, especially the dual drum one rope reeving. Check out the flexible beading needles that I use that work so good for reeving also....what a time saver they are. Good luck my friend! Hit me up anytime if you need a little help.
Hi Lee! Yeah it is a nice model. Tadano colors are awesome. Weird way for a jib to attach but it works lol. Review is recorded already...just want to watch it first and I'll post it soon.
Nice addition, it's alot bigger than you would think, a shame they didn't supply a headache ball, even though they supplied a 2nd winch, rooster sheave and a jib. If your going to go through the trouble of making all of that, why not supply the second hook? Makes no sense but this is a great model for sure.
It is a really nice model. Looks awesome and Tadano colors are great. Hahaha yeah,I checked the box twice for a headache ball...good thing I have some spare ones. At least they gave a set screw for the cylinder and all the booms have locks.. pretty nice for an inexpensive model. I like it already lol.
Hi Kevin....I got it for $800 from msw models about a year ago so prices are up but I'll leave you a link to them, they usually have the best price, and you can check it out. It's a beautiful model and looks awesome. Some issues with them but can be fixed. msw-modelle.com
Thank you so much for this video - I have been combing the internet for instructions on assembling the Manitowoc 555 but could not find one. Whould you happen to have a camera angle or instructions on how to string the pulleys accurately? That is what's missing from this video because the angle does not include the complete assembly.
Thanks. I had the same problems when I started doing these lol. I've posted multiple videos on reeving and some tips on tools to use for reeving. I'll drop a link to my channel but if you don't find a video that helps, contact me by email (below) and I'll be able to send you pictures if needed. jmarcos1414@gmail.com ru-vid.com
Hi. There's several places to look. Msw-modelle.com, ebay, Buffalo Road Imports, try the manufacturer site (NZG, Conrad, Liebherr) and the best is Facebook classified sites (1/50 scale models) for instance. There's multiple sites on Facebook....friend request me and I can invite you to some of them.
That would be a pretty long list lol. There's LGs and LGDs some LRs and more LTMs and there's some Sanys and those big I think they are Chinese cranes. I need to get a job lol
I hope so too. The only luffers I've seen were custom made. The top boom section has the fixed jib made into it so either a new top section with luffer mounting provisions or just a boom head to bolt on to the last standard boom section after removing the factory top section with the fixed jib. We'll see how they deal with it I hope. Otherwise, maybe ycc will come up with a conversion kit if NZG doesn't
Your model of the 4100 crane looks great with the boom extension with jib. I have my Manitowoc 4100 crane model rigged as a dragline, & I think works & looks good in that arrangement.
I've seen a few like that too. The dragline works well too. What a great model this is with a lot of variety in how you display it. Mine came with all the attachments but I like the lifters more than the dirt movers. Excellent model!
Hi.... the Sarens livery looks really good on this model. You must like it a lot. On the reeving, yeah I used the number/letter chart rather than the diagram. That was too confusing and the drawing was a little vague. I like to assemble them like the real thing so any model, mostly Manitowocs, that show to cross reeve something I do it. It does have a little more resistance but nothing a little load on the hook can't handle. Lol.
You should've bought the 2800 in Sarens on black Friday it was going for $550 or $570 forgot what I paid now on the IMC Models website it was also on sale for the same price on the Sarens website. I haven't built mine yet, I'm trying to decide if I want the extension kit. I know my ceilings are not high enough for all of it but I don't want to build it then have to take it apart to add a extension or two to my crane. They also had the 11000 for $800 something but I couldn't afford to get both and I went with the 2800 because as far as I know it doesn't have all the issues the 11000 has. I couldnt pass that deal up . Hard to find a better deal for crane models anywhere like that. Looking forward to your next video
Wow that's a killer deal! I should have checked their site but I thought I had a good deal at msw. Lol. I still have the Tadano Legacy model on reserve at msw models for 607 and waiting for the payment email. I love the white boom with Tadano blue. Yeah some of these models can be pretty tall and even 10' ceilings aren't enough lol. Hope you had a great Christmas and new year bro!
This is a 1/87 scale model that I got double shipped so I offered it to anyone who may have use for it. Everyone here is collecting 1/50 scale so I sent this to Diecast Emporium who collects any scale diecast stuff. Perhaps I will do a review on this model if you would like to see one. Thanks for watching and recommending a video.
another more common way of doing it in real life is dead ending to the hook, above the middle sheaves, see here: www.liebherr.com/shared/media/mobile-and-crawler-cranes/images/upload/2022_01/top-performance/liebherr-upload-background-stage-1901x1070.jpg
Can't find your email I just wanted to let you know on IMC Models website before black Friday weekend is over they have the 2800 in Sarens for $550 . I just picked one up couldn't pass up that great deal. Thought I just posted this to you on here then it was gone so posting again. Take care
Awesome! Hard not to take advantage of a deal that good. Appreciate it and here's my email jmarcos1414@gmail.com Thanks bro and hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day
There's more than that unfortunately. Follow the number/letter guide since it's more clear what to do. If you need help with crossover reeving check a few of my posts where I reeve these in real time. It's not to difficult but you have to pay attention where you're going while reeving. Email me if you need some help...jmarcos1414@gmail.com. I can send pictures in email but not here. If you need video help call me...6232089203. I'll help you get this done and once you do these it becomes a little easier to do them.
You must have seen Kevin's latest posts lol. All Crane is a beautiful livery, I love the white with red, and he's got several models in All Crane. Plus he has the figures and trucks to match. I'd love to have one in All Crane but I nabbed the 1750 in Thomen already. Thomens yellow is awesome and my favorite black booms look fantastic.
Thanks. Yeah she's a beast for sure. An awesome model. msw-modelle.com has the best deal on them. They are pricey but worth it for such a nice model. The boom sections are bigger than the 8800!
Hi Helena, oh yeah....they're available and I've seen 6 or 7 assembled and displayed. The 1650 has been out for a while and I've seen plenty of them on Facebook and RU-vid. I'm still saving up for the 2800....now my washer won't power up and I'm gonna end up having to buy another one. I'm an electrician by trade but don't know too much about new washer or dryer problems.
Thanks bro! I'm eyeing the same thing for the same reason hahaha. That CC2800 looks like a great model. I'm going for Legacy version. Tadano blue with that awesome white boom 🥰
Hey man, here's my email address so you can send me a picture of your collection. I always like to see everyone else's collection. jmarcos1414@gmail.com
