Follow along as I travel across the world as a solo female traveller, often backpacking or working abroad as an expat. I want to inspire YOU to have that adventure - anything is possible 🌏
BEWARE! UK immigration has been raiding hostels in London. Volunteering or working at a hostel without the right visa and sponser (which most hostels will not pay) is illegal! My daughter is a US citizen who is awaiting deportation at a horrible removal prison called Yarls Wood. She committed no crime. They can hold you indefiniately, no court, no appeal, and the embassy cant engage. Please I urge you to check carefully with immigration because the hostels and hosts are likely not following law. Please say a prayer for the safe return of my daughter.
@@privacysetting yes you do need to check documentation when volunteering in UK. I have a UK and an Irish passport so can volunteer in UK and Europe. Americans can’t legally volunteer here. I hope your daughter is returned soon!
I don't know ppl choose Shahjahanabad and Chandi Chowk as the face of Delhi. There are so many other other parts to explore... you should specify... this is Old Delhi
The lake district is much better and more vibrant. Loch lomond shores is full of shops and activities that are either closed, or are about to close. The aquarium is really really poor. The steam ship is not operational. Balloch and Alexandria are a bloody Eyesore. Compared to Ambleside,Keswick and windermere. Blame the local authority. For not looking after this potential jewel.
Agra is basically only worth it for the Taj Mahal. Otherwise don't even bother staying there for more than one day. Mumbai, Kerala on the south, Laddakh, Dharmashala in the far north, Northeastern States of fhe Seven Sisters are pretty as well, famous for natura beauty. Shimla or Kashmir for the snow. Rajasthan for palaces, forts, culture, and lot of history. These are the recommended places. If you're into Yoga then Rushikesh, which is famous for spiritual stuff. Delhi is only worth it if you're not going to stereotypical places like Chandni Chawk and Old Delhi, ( don't go there, very old, dirty and chaotic, not for tourism) South delhi is very nice, very affluent area of the city. Goa is a party destination for beach lovers. There are also beaches in Mumbai.
I went to Australia for 2 weeks after 6 weeks in Thailand and came back to the UK for many of the same reasons mentioned in this video. I've still got 5 months on my visa and am considering going back (my life is pretty miserable here) but I'm worried that I'll encounter the same problems of not finding work or accommodation. Don't know what to do 😢
Don't mind it, take it as compliment from an anonymous person 😅, I have been watching your videos since your India visit,... you look really amazing on dress with good physic ✨. Take care of you around the world 🌍.
I think that choosing Cairns as your location was where I think things may have gone wrong for you. My neighbour from when I was a kid has been living in Australia since 2016 and said Cairns is a no go due to there being no job opportunities and a homelessness crisis. It's crazy because you wouldn't think that through looking at images of it online.
I was definitely a bit surprised at the vibes of Cairns and I agree because that's where a lot of backpackers end their routes - including me. It's also a daunting prospect of choosing somewhere else to go and then possibly not being able to find work there either! Sad that a year on and I'm hearing the same things about unemployment and rent crises in Sydney and Melbourne too.
@@AnnaJoan You are definitely right on that. I'm planning on possibly making a move to AUS within the next year or two and I've been told not to judge places based on the images you see online. I would have never had guessed Cairns had the unemployment and homelessness crisis levels given the videos and images of the place online! Much different to the UK where we can tell whether a place is a dump or not through images very easily 😂
