Is carbon black crucial? It is not so easy to find and often expensive. I also wonder - is there anything special about pine resin, or is it just a binder that could be substituted? Thanks

What is the percentage of concentration of it? I was asked if it's red or white colored but I did not have an ans. If I cant see it to buy what else can I use to get same goo result? Will sufuric acid do? In seperating the positive from the negative lead can I use mask cloth or? I am so interested cos of the high high amp. It will be great if I can do it and get it right. One can do six of it to get 12v or what do u say to dat?

i got 28 amps from same size electrodes spaced apart with just 2 layers of angel soft brand toilet paper I used flat sheets with active material coated on them directly as a layer 1mm thickness (40 grams active material deposited) 1.5mmi total thickness electrodes I used raw yellow massicot beta lead oxide for both electrodes. no additives. no red lead. sodium sulfate mixed in to cure the active material. Solidified over 24 hours in warm humid room. I used sodium sulfate + aluminum sulfate in distilled water for the electrolyte. Holds over 2 volts with no sulfuric acid. Safer too. I put in food bag vacuum sealer bag (without the vacuum feature) and applied heat to make a pouch cell. Small hole at the top to rehydrate electrolyte if it dries out. Works fantastic. High performance. compact size. Over 2.2 volts resting voltage..!!!! Higher than sulfuric acid.

Very very nice for lab miniature Aluminium-ion battery. The real problem of the most people will see the video is to make a real big battery of this type about 200Ah for the home needs. The big difference will be when someone upload informations and video for this big scale experiment with ordinary simple materials.
