Thanks to Jonny for taking me up in his RV for a quick hop. We're gonna push my G tolerance next time. The RV6 is a kit built aircraft you can fly on a LAPL.

Great fun Ben. Loved your reaction to the turn of speed. Not flown in the RV6 but had plenty of time in the back of John's RV4 (tandem seating) All of the Rvs have an amazing speed range but by comparison to my Jodel John has to bring his RV4 in very flat and slow as dropping the nose by only a few degrees increases the speed like mad which is not good when landing over the trees on our hill. Looking forward to your next videos, sounds like you have been very busy!

Thanks Tim! Ha, yes...Jon mentioned its so slippy it just wants to speed up (sometimes too much) if you get that nose down. Yeh must be interesting. Well...yes! Few things planned...but it's quite hard work having a video done every week i must admit! You're a hero for doing it for so long. Thanks for watching.

Congrats on the article Ben - good for you and your club, well done. Also, wow, great strip, superb aeroplane, I'd love that sort of piece of kit - ideal hobby aeroplane? You lucky chaps. My buddy and I, with our dad's, spent a lot of time in tail draggers, quite a lot of skill required to fly them, especially certain types. Tail draggers, are great for off airport and short strip work - especially with decent sized wheels/tyres.

Hi Ben, thanks! That's interesting, your microlights are more roomy? You could say that a Cessna 150/2 is more confined than Eg a C42? Or so I'm told. When to 600kgs microlights come on line that should open things up more in the UK.

A lot of people have problems with "G" / motion sickness, the main problem is for passengers and often if you have had some experiance on the controls and then follow through, it reduces the effects as your brain knows what to expect. In the past I have flown mild aerobatics (loops, rolls and stall turns) but could not handle much more that a few without some level flight if the instructor was flying them without me on the stick as well, yet I was happy to fly a 10min routine without any problems.

Great video mate! As for G tolerance: I found the visual disturbence of ballistic rolls affected me more. But, when we pulled 4.2g in the RV-7, THAT was noticeable! Certainly good motivation for me to lay off the pizza 😬

Thanks buddy! Yeh it's funny I've just not ever liked rollercoasters or things...Think i've got a really sensitive inner ear you know. Could always tell when the aircraft was turning on the way to a holiday as a kid...most people don't seem to notice that. HA! Fascinating!! Thanks for watching, great to have you along

Nice one Ben! Even as pilot flying, I'm not keen on -ve g when practicing stalls, but maybe I'll get used to it. It's certainly a different feeling as a pax. Maybe the buzzard wasn't sqwawking 😁

I enjoyed that Ben, " I'm so bad with G- Force". It does take time to get used to it as you said. I can get to 4 or 5 G in Spiral Dive in my paramotor ( G straining required) That RV is QUICK!!

Amazing. I have a friend with a share in an RV4 and I am looking forward to a ride in the back seat of that soon. It will be very different to the C42 I am learning in!!

If you are getting too much heat as a result of the green house, try a Koger sun shade. It’s very effective I’ve found.

Definitely want one of those, so elegant and nimble! I’ve always been lucky with G forces, even during my aero’s rating never felt sick, it just hurt if you went over 5G’s. Squeezing your quads and tensing your stomach/abs when about to do +’ve G’s always helps too I find...

Love the RV aircraft. Had a go in an RV9A and the difference in speed really caught me out when leaving the circuit and ATZ. Was there in a flash 😂

Can’t wait to see the actual aeros, especially that rear-facing camera so we get to see your face 🤣 I must admit, I do struggle with the Gs and find I lose any tolerance I’ve built up very quickly. I don’t think I’d be able to handle the controls and a loop at the same time 😬

Great vid, this has strengthened the case for an RV! I fly a Yak and feel sick after a few light aeros, it's something you get used to, but some people find it easier than others I guess
