I had a pony troybilt. Love that machine. In 200 I bout a tractor I needed for my bigger property. When he was over to visit around 2000, my brother in law spotted the tiller in the corner of my pole barn. It was all dusty with 2 flat tires. But I could tell by the look in his eyes he knew exactly what he was seeing! Oh yes, he coveted it. He knew its value. Of course I gave it to him, and the manual etc. We used the bucket of my new tractor to lift it up into his his truck bed. He had all fixed up in a few weeks and their garden was lovely thereafter!
Knowingly, this is 6 yrs ago, but do you still have the sandblaster booth? If yes, can you tell me how your sand pickup tube is done? It looks like you took the bolt-on feed tip outta of the bottom of the booth and just put it in the sand, rather than screwing it in the bottom first, and then attaching the hose. So, what are you doing exactly to feed the sand into the gun? I have the exact same booth and always found that the sand flow surges when the feed tip is bolted into the bottom. It’s like the difference between the uptake and the gravity flow of the sand down to tip is inadequate. In other words, the booth design is not the best, and the feed tip with only 6 or 8 tiny holes in it just doesn’t allow the proper flow rate to the gun. The manual says 80psi and online sources say 80-100psi. Those and even lower psi settings don’t really affect the flow of sand if the feed tip is always the problem. Not ranting, just looking for another/better way to use the feed tip, like you have…. Thank You
Could you leave a link to where you got your owners manual, repair manual, and the parts manual from, I’m going to be restoring my cub cadet, also your restoration looks amazing.
Great build! I’m starting my first build (a 73) and you sure do inspire! Do you mind sharing the brand and size and source of your front and rear tires, please? Thanks
This is probably the best workbench in the market for the price. I have already used it for a couple of projects around the house. I can store it my garage when not in use and unfold it whenever I need work on it. The build seems very sturdy. I especially like the the two clamps that comes with it. Honestly, I have not explored all the features of it yet, but having used it just for some wood work is already a lot of fun. I would recommend it to any DIYers.
Advice on the first time breaking ground: DO NOT LET GO OF THE HANDLES until the ground is well broken up and there are no sticks or rocks in the ground. EXPERIENCE!!
FYI, most of those paint strippers are highly carcinogenic. Anything with tetra chlorine is bad news. It's actually crazy that they still sell the stuff knowing that it gets washed down the driveway into the reservoir . An alternative is to get a sand blasting wand for your pressure washer. It might even be easier. It sucks the media up into the stream of water. You can buy them on northern hydraulics.
Please excuse my ignorance because I have very little understanding of these electrical systems so perhaps I need to have a "basics" tutorial first before listening to your lecture. Can you give me a clue how this whole system works so I can follow along ?
Volume up, Volume down, Volume up, Volume down. Difficult to watch as had to keep the remote handy as kids sleeping & didn't know when the music would explode again. I finished watching without sound! Thanks anyway.
Beautiful restoration job! Those old engines are tough as pine knots! I have an old Troy-Bilt tiller and it had a Briggs & Stratton 10 horsepower engine on it but my brother made an adapter plate to fit the Kohler and I rebuilt the k181 put it on there and that 10 horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine couldn't hold a candle to the old Kohler! Enjoyed you video, I see this video is 8 years old, so I pray you and your kohler are still running like new, Thanks my friend for sharing!
Could be a typo, but the instructions in this video say to jump field to battery for an A circuit. However, the original tractor manual says this will damage the regulator.
Question on the hydraulic pump. I have a 69 S-12 and the pump is leaking and the valve actuator is sloppy. Who did you say made the pump and did you find a source for parts?
You oughta see my 6 foot 55 hp John Deere green tiller...it's pretty awesome too.😁 But seriously, I have three Troybilts one is electric start and that are great.😉
