Here is where I post my transcriptions of jazz tunes, score studies of contemporary classical/jazz pieces, and other miscellaneous music-related videos.' Thanks for watching!
Questo quartetto compete con le composizioni più grandi di Bartok... Infatti quando era ancora vivo, per me Ligeti era il più grande compositore vivente! ❤️💯
Thankyouuu 😍 I was trying to figure Bills chords from the actual recording and was wishing Tony would shut up because it was almost impossible 🙈 Though of course Tony is also amazing!!
Overrated book that confuses taxonomy with analysis. Generally speaking, I think pitch cycle theory is a much more comprehensive way of understanding what is actually happening in most non-serial 20th century classical music (and some serial 20th century.) I'd recommend Twelve Tone Harmony by Perle, The Music of Alban Berg by Dave Headlam, and any book written by Erno Lendvai really. Nonetheless, thank you for this video. There should be more of these sorts of videos on RU-vid.
Very nice work. I am a 78 year old musician. I taught myself to read this book when I was in high school, but there was no DAW software at that time and I could not check the examples with a realistic sound. Vincent Persichetti seems to be gaining more recognition these days. I believe that not only classical musicians but also jazz and pop musicians are paying attention to him.
Bravo ! Très belle interprétation, tu joues avec beaucoup de sensibilité et un beau touché. Je ne connaissais pas ce joli morceau. Pour ma part je réalise des transcriptions de Bill Evans pour orchestre symphonique.
i just found this.....this type of material is surely needed and your explanations are concise and clear. Bravo! Thank you ...please more Ogerman broken down like this.
"Without a Song" would be nice! It looks easy enough for me to learn. I really enjoy the transcriptions with voice and piano like this, but it's "Juust toooo Difficuuult for Meee"! I still hope to buy it though. thanks, Jack
Super cool piece! Is the cello part during the treble clef sections supposed to be played an octave lower than written? If not, I don't see how it'd be possible.
