being from nw Ohio, and se Michigan, I also cringe at your pronunciations... others have mentioned Mackinac, but also Maumee is pronounced more like "Maw-mee"
Ireland is undergoing another massive plantation at present. Our Govt. are taking in hordes of migrants against the will of the vast majority of Irish. We are well on our way to becoming yet another European multicultural cesspit. Even as many other European countries are realising their mistake and trying to change course.
Bro keeps using a long A in Saskatchewan. Locally, the last A is pronounced more like a mix between an E and an I. Edit: You also shouldn't pronounce the S on the end of Metis.
Technically, the City of Kansas City, MO is larger than St. Louis, MO, but the St. Louis metro area is larger than the Kansas City metro. An additional point of interest, both Kansas City, MO and St. Louis, MO are home to Federal Reserve Banks, making the state of Missouri the only state in the U. S. with two (2) Federal Reserve banks.
Bull. Folks are moving in this area by the trucks loads. Property values have increased a lot. These folks just need to see when hurricane season hits and the humidity sets in. lol.
Years ago I was hauling carpet from Columbus, Georgia to St. Louis, Missouri twice a week, I grew to love South Georgia, the country side and the people people
As an argentinian, nice video! Just two minor mistakes: 1) Mar del Plata is located on the coast of BsAs Province, no inland. 2) Neuquén population is approximately triple than the video claims (~720 k)
2:34 What??? Reconquista was made by Christians living in the Iberian peninsula, not by "northern and eastern (Europan) Christian kingdoms"!!! 3:35 Spanish "Autonomous regions" were established in the 1980s, almost two centuries after the Napoleonic invasion.
As someone who has visited NYC, Western NY (Buffalo, Angelica), and Upstate NY (Saranac Lakes region, Lake Placid) on numerous occasions, I loved this video! Each of these areas has its own unique and excellent reasons to spend time there. Thanks for the segment on the St. Lawrence River too! That was great. And until I made the drive from NYC to Montreal, I never realized it was only a 6 hour drive directly north. I always thought Montreal was farther away.
Native to NYC. Lovely fast pace. Upstate has snow. Lots of snow. Obscene amounts of snow as you approach Buffalo and/or Rochester and Lake Erie. They can keep it. It probably does help the farrmers with various products including cheese and wine. And the Erie Canal was long ago surpassed by more technological forms of transportation. Upstate is good for vacations & getaways from the metro area.
"What If The Big Earthquake Hits The Pacific Northwest Tomorrow?" Well, then all of us with have to turn on our computers, watch this video, and kiss our butts goodbye. So thanks for the advice.
We like the coast as is hope it stays as is if that happens a lot of prime an beautiful land an coast would be gone forever so if you want industry go inland if you like fishing swimming eating seafood and a lot of other things to do go to the coast
Much like Charleston, Savannah was a winter over for the large plantation owners from the north and Europe. Much of the wealth was not invested in Savannah but elsewhere. These plantation owners would only spend 5 months out of the year in Savannah and then go back north or to Europe. There is a misconception that plantations in the south were owned and operated by Southerners, but the reality is most were not. The Savannah port is undergoing a massive expansion and will soon be the largest port on the east coast.
