Did you build your custom wireharness or someone built it for you? Going the rare built 7mgte route👍🏾 Also with the ecu, do you still have the other features like be able to move the mirrors, fog light, oem tems if you're running those?
@@TheMrFlyBoy18 my friend Jostar racing(instagram) build it for me. With the ecu it’s only controlling the engine and etc. not the mirrors and stuff. So that stuff retain and still work.
Stick to it bro. Iv hadvmy mk4 coming Jan for 4 years and i can confidently say its going to take me more years to finish. Its been a resto since day 1. Toyota does sell the panel caps still. Luckily

Best think I can tell you is if you have good knowledge of wiring, try to install it yourself. I pinned the emu plugs currently from the harness instead of a jumper harness. You gotta understand the 12v and 5v and the grounds and where all the sensors get pinned and etc. if you are familiar with those stuff, take it to a shop that’s done it. Sound performance has done tons of them. My buddy Art has done ton of them Jo star racing on instagram
Correct there are 2 pins that need to be pinned to the ecu and one 12v or 5v and one ground. If you purchase it from SP. the BTI gauge, they give you the instructions. Fairly very easy install.

@@Fonzgarage I personally prefer longer gearing for the streets. When I had my MK3, I ran my T56 close ration with 4.11 gears and it ran through them way too fast. For the drag strip is great but, for the street I prefer 3.73 specially on high horse power car 700+. Thanks for sharing by the way, always enjoy watching your content.
@@ArthurSperotto dual clutch so it’s a little heavy pedal. I’ve had stock, ACT HD and FX400, Fx400 was the softest and ST-246 probably little heavier than ACT HD.
@@Fonzgarage Great comparison, thank you! Everyone says it has great drivability, but I always had trouble finding out how hard the pedal was. I live in Los Angeles so traffic is a factor.
It’s not bad honestly once you’re used to it. What does suck is my hip had some pain when I used to go on walks but now I am good. Once you’re used to it, traffic doesn’t bother me at all.

Hey man, It’s ran through the fender and through the hole where the body harness runs through by the fuse box inside. Both sides. Power from driver and ground from driver side
@@Fonzgarage Thanks for the quick reply, your overall setup is really nice and I'm planning to build something very similar for my MKIV, the exact same grannas kit and clutch is what I want and the one thing that I didn't want is chatter or idle noise from the clutch

Yo what do you mean? You bolts shouldn’t be loose. They should tighten up once’s the stud goes through. And there should be two long bolts that should tighten up once you turn it enough
@@Fonzgarage I mean the thickness of the bolts were less than the internal diameter of the sleeves themselves, they have tightened up no problem, I just thought that the bolts should be a snug fit in the sleeves of the bush if that makes sense 👍🏻

He used a cable with new adapter to the t56. Required modifying the mount. On my Mk3 I used the Speedhut gps box which spins the Speedo based on gps speed.
I have Adam Grantz t56 adaptor that connects to the factory mk3 speedometer. There is a gear I also used in the t56 which connects to the adapter. I have a video on it when I did the t56 install on my channel

I used James ward SS lines. For the rear you can use the one for mk4 with a banjo fitting on it. Mine isn’t a bango one. I might change it down the road
Hello, thanks for the video, can you help me out and explain/diagram or something for the 4 small wires that connect to the 12v+ junction near the fuse panel. I am at a standstill with my car I only have one green wire connected where you have 4.

@@Mk3Minty everything getting expensive, just take your time and learn and in time you will get it done. I’ve rushed and waited a lot of money. I am learning to not do that on my other build
