4:00 Nominative Determinism: the theory that people are psychologically predisposed to pursue occupations or interests that resemble or evoke their names in some way -->> A guy named Rob Raven steals bird eggs!
Those are not " cages ". They're toe clips with leather straps. The straps can be pulled tight when you are traveling at speed, but can easily be loosened by a flick of your finger. Once the strap is loose, your foot can easily be removed from the toe clip. The problem here is that Joe removed his LEFT foot but he lost his balance and fell on his RIGHT.
Pogi aside, Storer riding himself into the top 10 on GC at the GIro was the ride of the GIro for me. First year for Tudor at World Tour level, not the leader, no dedicated GC support form what I could see. Absolutely break out ride imo.
C'mon, Storer was well established climber before the Giro as well... Best climber + two stages at Vuelta 2021, 2x overall at Tour d'Ain, podium at Alps, 2x Top 10 UAE, Top 5 in mountain stages at Tour 22, he's been good for years...
@@pmts8364 and top 10 GC at Giro was the ride of the Giro for me, given he was not the leader, had no dedicated GC support as far as I could tell, and Tudor are doing their first world tour. Do you know what an opinion is? As for "he's been good for years" - be that as it may, his 2024 UCI points are double any other year to date.
@@aarondcmedia9585 I just wanted to say let's not make unknown neopro out of him. To be honest I expected him to be even a lot higher in GC. Tudor signed him as leader for Giro because of his good results in last three years and he delivered what was expected. Rubio had worst results then Storer in his career and at Giro he finished a lot higher, why isn't he the ride of the Giro for you then 👀?
@@pmts8364 who is making him out to be an uknown neopro? " Tudor signed him as leader for Giro " If they signed Storer as lead for Giro: 1. why isn't he wearing #181 number? 2. On the Tudor site itself he says “I am here to win a stage, not for the general classification. Giro is early in the year, and I usually do better towards the end of the season, but I am coming with good form and the preparation went smoothly.” Methinks you are making stuff up, no point in engaging further. As for Rubio vs Storer, it's team + rider, as I already mentioned. You really want to compare Movistar + rider to Tudor's first GT + rider? Really? Don't make me laugh.
Paul was 2nd in the national hill climb behind Ed Laverack in 2019. So yes, he's always been fast for the one-off efforts, but is a big unknown when it comes to the 3 week races. Can you produce the numbers after 2 weeks of 5 hour days?
Double used to ride for my current team in 2019/20 and rode for the sister team MGKVis in 2021/22. I lived with him for a year in 22 and he was always such a nice humble guy, even though he was riding for a conti team doing WT watts. Genuinely one of the nicest lads in the whole pro peloton, and one of the better climbers too, I’ll never understand why Kometa didn’t take him to the Giro this year.
Tyler Stites and most of the riders for project echelon (us conti team) deserve to be racing at a much higher level. I mean Sheehan went from losing to these guys to winning a 1.1 one day last year
With respect to the American people, I am sending a message from an Asian country. Have you noticed that America is not the former America that European, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries obeyed? Trump represents America's power, and Biden represents America's weakness when in the Middle East and Iran, President Biden is ridiculed. While you are making America great again by voting for Trump.
Loockx (7th on this stage, 6th in GC) also kinda fits the story. His first full road season, coming over from cyclocross. No real big results at either road or ccx, but suddenly emerges at these one week .Pro races. Also got a 4th place on an uphil sprint in Hungary, could've top 10'nd the GC if he didn't get caught behind a fall in the peleton on the Queen stage.
They might already be sufficiently "hyped", but never sure: Jason Tesson, Riley Sheehan, Taylor Stites, Scott McGill, Nicholas Zukowsky are names that come to mind
