Pedersen has been in really good form lately. Only his tactical calls seem way off recently. His attack in Flanders, for example, was such a waste of energy, but somehow he still was amongst the best after he got caught (only at the very end he broke). He seems to have an incredible amount of stamina Pogi and MVDP may be in a league of their own in classics and monuments lately, but Pedersen seems to be the best of the rest. Ehh, he was almost certainly doping. (Ik, ik, it's heresy to question "the greats.") What's truly impressive to me is that we're still seeing insane performances out of the modern day peloton (similar to the doping peloton days), but accounting for gear improvements, nutrition and training improvements, etc the likelihood that they're still cheating is very small. If they kept doping + had the modern improvements, we'd be seeing some truly unbelievable performances in terms of times/records, etc.

If I'm Trek, I try to get Declerq in the brakeaway with Milan and Theuns. MVDP is way too strong man vs man in these races, so you need more numbers than them and the only way to do that is to thin them out early. The lack of organization in the chase after MvdP went, was probably the most disappointing thing of the race. In hindsight he probably would have stayed away with no mechanicals, but them immediately giving up - allowing the gap to over one minute and consequently letting the team car in - ruined the race. So much could have happened in the sectors, but they were immediately like "let's race for second".

The other top riders did not stay with Mathieu Van Poel when he attacked, you can't give a guy like that an inch when he makes his move, go with him, I didn't see that, they just let him ride away. It is a flat race get in his draft and tell him you will work when you can.

So far this season, we've been robbed of all the exciting matchups that we've been looking forward to... No WVA to challenge MVDP in the classics, crocked WVA/Remoco/Roglic/Vingegaard for the Grand Tour season...I don't understand the excitement about MVDP winning Roubaix unchallenged...I suspect he found it boring...and Pidcock? I don't think he can make up his mind about One Days Races/Grand Tours....

Yawn!!!! They should have given MVP the trophy at the start. This was the most predictable Paris Roubaix in many years. Nothing against MVP, He's a great cyclist, but it was basically a training session for him. There was nobody even close to his abilities. No punctures, no accidents, MVP was pretty much assured the win. I enjoyed the Femmes race much better, wonderful nail biter at the end. Cheers
