His date was my mother, Florence Hall. I grew up in that house on Clifton Blvd. They must have shot this soon after I was born in 1964. Great to see my mom. Loved Ernie. Oddly, his actual girlfriend, Edwina, lived on the 3rd floor of our house.
Ernie Anderson as Ghoulardi. Hosting Friday night horror movies as I grew up in Cleveland. Blowing up model cars with firecrackers. "Stay sick and turn blue, Ghoulardi loves you". Thanks Ernie!!!!!!
I used to wake up really early on school days to watch this in my dark living room. It was something that has stuck with me all these years. I love it 😈
Stayed up watching one of Ghoulardi's scary movies one night (14 years old), I think it was the Blob. When the movie was over I had to walk from my chair to my bedroom (upstairs in the dark so I did not wake anyone), it was one of the most fearful walks I ever took!😨 Ghoulardi was pure Genius!
I was talking w my mom whom in taking care of now, I asked her if she remembers this show, she says you and your monsters..60,s 70,s was great time to be kid.much more simple innocent times except for Vietnam War going on..
looked forward to staying up late every weekend in Akron. He was the coolest thing us kids had ever seen! 12-15 yrs old was a great time to hang with Ghouldardi! Unforgettable. and now at 71 i love his son's quirky films...Ghoulardi productions. A fitting tribute to his creative and irreverent dad!!
actually, he was not fired....he quit to go to LA so his pal Tim Conway could help him find work there. soon, he was the announcer on the Carol Burnette Show, and he took off from there. His last month or so of shows in Clev. were taped in advance. the TV station was very unhappy that he quit
