The thing that gets me the most is the fact that in real life nick and tao are a couple and it gets me so much with the fact they kind of hate each other in the first season ect
Came to RU-vid to watch painting tutorials and watched this instead, which was so insightful and spot-on. One thing, that in Jane Austen’s time, to “embrace” was understood to include kissing, so it’s not totally out of its time. If you want the same gorgeous production and amazing tension, the miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell’s North and South is incredible. Daniela Denby-Ashe and Richard Armitage. The soundtrack is more subtle, but lovely as well.
14:40 mm (but yeah how can anyone hear them yell) 18:22 I can understand the thing behind that 22:09 mm but really tho 30:45 and according to a theory - that's why you'd die lol
I know that you're already quite advanced on Patreon, so I can't wait to see you react to Sebastian Stan on this show! And yes, Jimminy is not one of the brightest of the show lol
It’s really messed up how hard Regina was trying to gaslight Henry. It makes sense that he would notice that something was weird with the town, since he’s the only one aging/moving up grades in school. The book just gave him answers to questions that he was probably already asking.
Hii, loved your reaction as always. You should check out "my lady jane". It's a great series and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one.
Not Sean showing That Scene between Regina and Emma and then completely bypassing it 😂😂😂 how long before he picks up on their chemistry?? My bet is not until the S1 finale 😅
You are the second person that has mentioned how Darcy is projecting his relationship with Lizzie onto Bingsley and Jane. I never thought about that! It's amazing how many times I can watch the movie, and series, and read the book and still find something new. And yet someone can see/read the same thing and still have a new idea/thought/perspective.
So we going to be fighting over Henry all season ! Full Uncut Commentary for these episodes , other tv shows and movies is available on : www.patreon.com/SeanThompson Currently we are on season 2
Regency period (Bridgerton and P&P) was 1810's (around the time of the Napoleon War). 1790's had distinctly different style of clothes (contemporary with the French Revolution). Actually (nerd here), the high waist style of dress came from the British aristocracy moving toward "country" styles to distance themselves from the French aristocracy who got wiped out by the guillotine.
The amount of times he’s like, I think so and so is gonna die 😂 lol this feels like the cultural effect of GoT having poisoned all of our brains to expect character death at any moment, even from a network show about fairytales in 2011
You are amazing, I loved your comentaries and how you liked this movie and the european ending. And how you noticed the perod ettiquete and the cinematic changes. I’m subscribing!!!!
Remember Charolllete and Lizzie discussed Jane’s shy nature and it appears to be indifferent. Mr. Darcy mistaked Jane to be indifferent. Of course he didn’t know her. He wasn’t insecure.
I don’t think darcy was projecting tbh he just made some observations about that family which were really good her mother was very obnoxious in parties saying that they her eldest is gonna be the envy of others cause she will be marrying the rich and with Her not openly showing her effection to his friend he thought he’s saving his friend from a gold digger tbh 😅
