my shoulder mobility is just terrible especially my left shoulder i can only lift my arm straight up about 150 degrees when it needs to be 180, my right arm is more like 170.... also none of my joints can hyper extend or fully lock out my arms always have a slight bend and they cannot seem to stretch any further.... both are challenging for handstand the shoulder issue makes it impossible to straighten out or push shoulders in both directions so im stuck with bananas or bent shoulder stand, even though i have the strength and balance to do free standing shoulder stand and shoulder stand into handstand but i can't make a straight handstand... and the elbow issue makes it harder to keep arms fully extended... has gotten a bit better over the last 3 months but it will be a long journey i think before i get enough flexibility
Thank you for your all the video, it’s really helpful since I love learning and teaching floor work. I’m curious to know why this turn calls “Japanese” roll?? Is it someone from Japan perform a lot? Or referring martial arts like aikido??
😂😂😂 thank you! You made me laugh so hard. Movement didn’t exist before ido… ❤!! All dancers know flying low and passing through, now there’s fighting monkey(pulling on strings and swinging around weights are added here to the throwing Tennisballs around), soft acro, flow art….ah and don’t forget play fight! It’s all floor work, locomotion and movement. If it’s more artistic it’s dance. Sometimes with acro elements.
Hi Vincent, I think your work is amazing, I filmed an improvisation working towards weight shifting in the shoulders a while ago and put it on my channel. Then I found your work and it's saving me so much time and giving me so many ideas. Thanks so much. Oh, I have some knee issues and some of your warm ups are a little too much for them so I filmed a knee prep video which gets them running tickety boo every time. In the spirit of quid pro quo please check it out and take what you want from it. Happy new year from the water in Scotland. PS I am an improvising classical, jazz and flamenco guitarist if you want some bespoke music for free then say hi, the piece I improvised for my woman 'For Maggie and Moreno' is quite a good showcase.
