I recently purchased some Mission Models paints. Dark Earth, MMP078 and Middle Stone, MMP076. I tested them on one of my paint mules and had pretty good results. Airbrushed straight from the bottle, no thinner and no polyurethane additive. It covered pretty well and I was able to mask over it for a cammo pattern using Tamiya masking tape. No problems with peeling.

Incredible! Working on mine now. It was a Christmas gift given by my son. Primed it and letting it dry now. You are right about the seams around the arms. I also noticed I needed to sand around the brain area but waiting for primer to dry for any seams I missed while inspecting the parts. Thanks for the tip with the head part about not gluing it.

Nice review. The real test of a kit is building it as we all know. Glad to hear it went well. Yes... I get the small instruction book probably fits in the box easier but my old eyes find the images way too small. I prefer the larger size. I guess they could keep the smaller size but with more pages of larger images... . Thanks.

Great to see another video from you. Lools like a decent kit on a cool vehicle, though your frustrations with the tracks will be shared by many modelers I am sure. I built those same tracks in metal (Masterclub) as even those were demoralizing. I have noticed other kits recently with similarly fragile suspensions with very small contact surfaces. Its like the person designing the CAD doesnt actually build kits and therefore doesnt understand that some areas need strong, positive attachment points.
@ScaleModelAlberta
@ScaleModelAlberta 8 месяцев назад
It’s hard to fathom in this day that model companies are putting out stuff with garbage directions and these tiny contact surfaces. Tamiya showed us how 40 years ago. 🤨

Although I love the Panther2, I'm gonna be that guy and remind everyone that this Ausf. F turret with the rangefinder could not fit the 88L71 Kwk43. If you want a Panther with an 88, you need a bulge in the rear of the turret, like the one represented in modelcollect's E-50. My 2c 💰

Looks great has that professional level of modeling skills, however as a U.S. Army Veteran I would nitpick that it's not that realistic where are the wounded or dead civilians and soldiers. It's a pet peeve of mine and tons of other folks, that these military Dioramas need to include the wounded and the dead or it's not "Realistic". I say that as a suggestion to think upon in future projects take care, keep chins up, live long and prosper.
@ScaleModelAlberta
@ScaleModelAlberta 8 месяцев назад
You know, I always had the bodies scattered around but I was soundly criticized for several years at models shows I would enter where the judges would say it was disrespectful or vulgar showing dead bodies so I gradually phased them out. But with the score of great resin figures I’m going back to realism, but I still not going to show dead animals, just me on that one.

Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of getting one of these as, like you, I build a lot of panthers. You've added the ariel storage tubes under the gun cleaning rod tube. These are only added to command tanks, as they hold the additional ariels the command tanks used. Is this pointed out in the instructions as an option , or do they just tell you to fit them?
@ScaleModelAlberta

No mention of an option on those arial tubes if I recall.

Very nice Diorama. Authentic with the Lend-Lease Stuart. However this Operation took place November 1-3, 1943 and the troops may have been wearing non-snow winter uniforms (no snow at this time in the Crimea) where Temps would drop into the 40's and 30's during this time of year on the Kerch Peninsula.

Welcome back! Hope all is well! This was Border Models 1st kit to hit the store shelves. I purchased it, built it, painted it, weathered it. Had a few hiccups in the building. The directions were, well, bad like you say. As far as completed model, the only thing i replaced were the tool clasps with resin ones, added 'light' aftermarket stowage, and used Friul Model tracks. (Back when they were available). I agree, that this isn't for the beginner. Cheers!!😁

Hi mate Is that their BT-005 kit? I’ve got that in my stash pile, and also RFM’s 5055 Ausf.G/H (full interior) kit which also only shows a single cupola lid not split on both versions. I know that Tamiya’s old H kit does have the split. Have got one of Miniart’s H kits, but can’t find it as it is hiding. Hmmm gonna have to consult my old Walter J. Spielberger Panzer IV & variants!! Great review old mate, keep up the work! Cheers from 🇦🇺 ❤😊

it's BT-001, their first kit. Just opened up my BT-005, (early/mid H, no interior) and the directions look 100% better, even has a metal barrel and figures.

That soviet tank looks more like an IS-7 than an IS-3. You can tell by the shape of the turret and the hull. The hull doesn't have the pike like the IS-3 does, and the turret houses a much bigger gun. Another easy giveaway is the heavy machine gun in the center of the top of the turret. Just a little bit of information. Other than that, the display looks good.
@ScaleModelAlberta
