Being tested is a good sign, however people think its negative. If you're not tested thats a bad sign. Here is the proof "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient " 2.155 "Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allāh?" Unquestionably, the help of Allāh is near" 2.214 Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If Allah wills good for someone, He afflicts him with trials.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5645 If you are not being tested with trials, then we have to question our emaan.
Salaam bro. Great podcast. I am in same position like you...and its very hard to go day by day...esp isolation, same i wouldnt commit S***de, i have family and child to. Keep your head high bro and keep praying.
Haris big love brother, I have been watching since Day 1. These podcasts are special and I hope you continue creating them. Have you considered speaking privately with a local Imaam to speak about your situation? I hope things get better for yourself soon. Remember this is all part of faith ❤
The best thing about your podcasts are that they're unfiltered. Been missing the podcasts. Hope you and uncle are ok. He doesn't seem his normal jolly self. Look after him ❤
I'm not much knowledgeable but want to share my experience that it might help. I have got the chance to do Umrah twice, the first time around when I saw the Kaaba, the tears started naturally, so much emotion but the second time around, when I saw Kaaba, I made dua but had to force the tears out, the emotion wasn't overflowing. I kept asking Allah and put more effort in my prayers, so by the time I reach Madina, my heart was full of emotion and afterwards with contentment. What I realized was that the state of our "Imaan" is never constant, it's like a wave that is why we as Muslims do constant struggle in our religion to maintain our Imaan. That is another reason hopelessness is discouraged by Allah, He asks us to not become hopeless from Him and from our own selves. Secondly, I agree with your dad that you guys should have gone to Makkah first and then Madina, as it's the true sequence even for the journey of Muhammad SAW and Islam as well. In Makkah, the initial phase of Islam, it was tough, foundational, where people declared that "we are Muslims now" and had to face hardships. Then as a reward our Prophet SAW with his companions migrated to Madinah and found peace. Also, as your dad said that Love is unconditional, it's not only true with people but for Allah as well. Sometimes He gives us blessings as tests and sometimes hardships, then it's on us how we react to those circumstances. Being grateful in our hardships and continue to pray is easier said then done. It's a mindful practice which becomes permanent if one is consistent. I know it's such a long comment 😊excuse me for that. I wish you best of luck. Oh One last thing, a dua which I do regularly, it's the verse 24, Surah Qasas in Quran, I'm writing english translation here. “My Lord! I am truly in ˹desperate˺ need of whatever provision You may have in store for me.”
