I’m so happy Normani is free and thriving in her solo career - everything she does is fire, just so solid.. meanwhile Camila just does not seem like a nice or talented person.
About the racist tumblr posts, Camila's apology was a load of ass because she kept mentioning it was "years ago," However, at the time she was exposed the most recent posts on the account were only a few months old. I personally remember I was actually able to see the account when it was still active and the most recent post was only like 7 months old.
also i'd like to add, about the era stuff: i am a huge kpop fan and i feel like eras in western music is becoming defined the same way or at least similarily to the way eras are defined for different kpop comebacks. if you want more info about this i'd love to chat about it, it intrigues me a lot!
Apart from the past Tumblr posts, I also have a problem with how Camila dealt with Normani being horrendously cyberbullied by Camila's fans to the point that they were photoshopping her face onto images of l*nching. These fans attacked her over some interview clip of Normani describing Camila as "quirky and cute." While the other 5H members were quick to defend Normani right away, Camila took her sweet time to actually say anything, which Normani later said was very hurtful.
She’s a parasite, licked donuts and damaged a store owner’s reputation, made her ex kill himself, had a concert that killed children, ruined so many relationships internationally, denies her eating disorder, I don’t understand why she isn’t completely cancelled yet
I'm not a defender of her past at all in the slightest but people really need to realize whatever "texts" and "fb msgs" yall refer to were doctored, proven to be fake. The tumblr posts absolutely real, and her reluctance to defend Normani in her time of need and call off her dumbass stans are absolutely real as well.
I have a wildcard, possibly unpopular opinion-If she just dedicated herself to recording 100% en español… I feel she might actually turn her career around. Her Spanish speaking fans are always there for her. It might alienate her white girl fans but everyone’s learning Spanish these days it seems. Karol G is rocking the charts. It’s more relevant now than ever. Also, for example, Camila’s good friend Becky G-who I love, but who also has a nasally tone, I will say…yet sounds better in Spanish for some reason… she didn’t need to do Latin music to save herself. She did it to START her career, and it’s been great for her. Camila, and also currently Jlo I feel, should just dedicate themselves to their Boricua, Cubana-Mexicana heritage and release some Reggaetón and trapetón bops. Get together with Cardi even. Get together all three! And there are endless actual amazing Latino artists to work with nowadays. I think it could be big of camila did that… and I think Jlo has recorded some of her best songs, ever, in Spanish. Same with Cardi! Even her features on “Taki Taki”, and “Me Gusta” with Anitta and Myke Towers are amazing. But she’s not so much my point. Cardi is beloved, no matter what, anyway. Still, I feel she could also jump headfirst into the reggaetón world and watch her entire career blossom in a whole new way. Ultimately, they all just sound better, and even sound “smarter”, if that makes sense, when singing in Spanish! idk, maybe bc it’s a more poetic, emotive language I suppose. Compared to their English material, which is often vapid AF.
I know I’m just some random stranger on the internet and I don’t even know if you read the comments but dude if you ever want someone to talk to about how the definition of “era” has gotten looser and looser with time ….. I’m a former swiftie, a musician who’s been studying the music industry since I was basically a child, and I just graduated with my com degree so like?? I have many many thoughts on the matter and I fully offer myself up as a person you can bounce ideas off of, if you need it
This video isn’t about Dinah, and I didn’t know that a vine of her saying the n word existed. And now that I know that…that’s shitty and racist, lol. What’s your point exactly?
Thanks, Kayla. I now know I'm officially too old for the internet. I thought Camilla Cabello was a model. I had no idea she was a singer. I didn't know she was in Fifth Harmony, even though I've heard them before.
