And that stick out part you said you have to cut don’t cut that you wanted to stick out. It’s called offset do you want the big chunky tires? You’re gonna need that if you cut that off and make it skinnier guess what tire is not gonna fit on that carrier like wow I’m halfway drunk. I can understand that.
I’m not a nuclear rocket scientist but if you had five holes, you might have to drill that out but guess what you don’t need five holes at a spare tire on it’s got three so guess what? It’ll probably fit on three.
doubt ya read these but if ya do could ya do another video on your Lanzar pro 6.5 subwoofer if ya still got it got my self one just wanna see how its holding up long term
Nice bumper build, only problem I could imagine is that both the stock bumper brackets as well as the mounting tabs on the frame are pretty flimsy. The bolts that hold the brackets to the frame are also a joke, if I remember it right there are two M8 bolts per side which I guess is meant as kind of a mechanical fuse so they can shear off on impact. The brackets slide out to the front so they're easy to change but access to the mounting tabs on the frame is very limited so you'll pretty much have to lift off the cab to cut them off and remake them. But that skid plate tied into the frame should stiffen it up pretty well 👍
I built this box today for 2 of these pyle subs, cost roughly 30 bucks using 5/8 mdf and it sounds 10 times better than the $100 prefab box I just bought. Much thanks!
Never mentioned the height dimension, luckily I guessed right when I went with 13 inches. Thats your height, gives a perfect cubic foot for the sub chamber.
I came here because I bought a set of 9004 LEDs that I thought didn't fit, and couldn't return because I opened the package. I got pissy at the store clerk because they wouldn't refund me. Now I feel like an asshole because I didn't know you could take them apart to fit that plastic clip on. Problem solved.
Do these mirrors still have the option to use the electric mirror cables? For example, to adjust the direction the mirror faces , left, right,up, or down.
I was about to dive in and change out the wheel joints, pop the cover and check the locker, etc because of the loud popping/snap to center and difficult turning at slow speeds but I figured I would check out youtube first. Thanks for the video, saved me a lot of time.
@backyardbuilder absolutely awesome vid mate. I have a terrano here in nz, proven itself as my favourite 4 wheel drive by far. I am thinking about making a partitioning wall to separate the rear cargo area. Work in the shearing industry so we have very dirty/smelly luggage aswell as 3 dogs. Am going to make aluminium gullwing doors to replace rear windows. They will also include a breather vent or maybe louvre idea for the dogs. But being able to completely separate the seating area from the dogs and shearing gear area would be great. Do u know if it would be possible.
Hey I realize this post is from 7 years ago but figured I’d try anyway!! Did you have to drill new holes in your door for top mounting bolt to go through?
So I was sent the wrong mirrors and just got the right ones. There installed on the Hoe now. I wanna change the wiring so I have the running lights like you did but am not sure how you got to the wiring? Does the glass just pull out for access? Thanks again
Really good video. I’m replacing just one. It goes in on injector 6 but won’t stay on injector 4. Got a same size hose from the parts store. Maybe I’ll order a kit online.
I am in the process of designing a winch system for my WJ. However, I dont like how the fairlead is mounted so low. Its not in the middle. I came up with a solution, as I am making a custom plate. I am making it so the winch is mounted upside down. This way the cable comes out higher and can go through the fairlead in the middle of the bumper. Ive also designed the bracket in a way so the bumper doesnt need to be cut, as its ugly and destroys the look. The clutch can be engaged by a lever below.
Nice video. Did you notice any additional driveline play? Maybe I didn't set my backlash correctly, but it seems like I have way more play in the driveline going on/off gas, shifting into reverse, etc.
I wonder why that SL F8.8-31 # 17005 kit costs $ 582 on the USA Standard Gear Spartan Locker website but only $ 250 on Amazon and eBay? I've got a '92 Ford F-150.
I have a 1968 International loadstar CO-1700 that we are currently fixing so that I could use it to haul my vintage garden tractors to shows It has the 345 V8 and has a 4 speed with a 2 speed rear end
