Welcome to my channel where I go through the process of shaping surfboards, surfboard reviews, surfing sessions, and more! #zackflores #zackfloreschannel #zackfloressurfer
I'm looking into getting started. I have a lot of this stuff from doing custom body work. Any chance you have a list of tools I can download? Request, 10.5 twin or thrust
thanks for the video. super helpful. i have a question about the thickness of the nose and tail after establishing the rocker and before concave or rails. how thick do you leave them before the next step? thanks.
Dude so bummed i ordered your surf shorts early on with some other stuff and i on the slip they said they out of my size. Hope you guys make another batch 🤙 🏄♂️
Zack…. Truly love your videos And hand shaping still when everyone is CNC boards Keeping the art form alive and well.. A thousand thank you’s If you ever consider a hands on shaping lesson please let me know.. Please let me know don’t do that much social media like Insta or snap tic and all the other stuff
Zack, I’m 60 years old, I grew up wearing the stuff you are re-doing. The board shorts are sweet! I’m watching a load of your videos because I want to build my own boards and family members. So, thank you so much for helping me to learn.

Yoo, can you make a video on just the planner? How to use it correctly? How it should sit on the board? Angles of it? Basically a How-To on mastering planning.
I have learned over time what looks correct. Futures just came out with a new fin placement tool for twins, thrusters and quads. That tool is worth checking out for sure too!
i think if you forgot anything (which you don't) it would be to put some surfacing agent into the resin you're using so you can sand the glass a little bit better. i hate going through 20 sanding pads because i forgot to put, or didn't put enough, styrene monomer in 'em
I used to but I started just doing a hot coat patch to sand instead because “I think” it bonds better without the surface agent. I have no science to back that up but that’s what I have noticed haha!
im probably the worst shaper (I only made 5 boards and i pretty sure they suck) I really needed those videos, that one in particular, thanks Zack for helping!
Love your work mate! 🤙 Similar to a previous question on rails, you did a great job at being scientific about dimensions. I was wondering if you are taking measurements or shooting for particular/measured angles when considering rocker, rails and concave? It looked like a fair bit was by feel or previous knowledge, so I'm curious as a newbie.
I go entirely by what I have done in the past and try to correct the undesirable aspects of the board little by little. I eyeball everything to what looks like it will correct my problems and use a few tools to keep track of my changes which could be rockers, rails thickness and so on.
Fun review and smooth rides.... but there are rules to youtube board reviews (read the small print, before they deactivate this account).Reviews need to include lingo like "It rhoides different than a no'mal thrustey or my twinnie that I use at the beachies around here. But at my local reefie I can ride this board from 1 foot to 1-foot overhead, It's pretty much a one boa'd quivah. It's all i would take on a Baja adventah!". Brave to leave that part out, bravo!
