What can I say the water is my happy place. What better way to enjoy the Texas coast than wading in waist to ankle deep water in pursuit of Redfish, Speckled Trout & Flounder. Come along with me on my many adventures along the Texas coast from Mesquite Bay to Baffin Bay as I target these fish, and share my knowledge on the water and tips on fishing for them.
On this channel I will have "How To" videos and discuss the conditions that I am fishing in, lure choice and my rod/reel setups. I will be primarily throwing artificial lures on this channel, which was taught to me by my Dad and has been a passion of mine ever since.
I will be uploading a new video once a week so stay tuned and Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE and Hit that Notification "Bell".
Yes normally in the early morning is when you catch speckled trout. But I have caught some around noon as well. Normally when it gets really hot the trout bite dies off.
Yes sir thank you. That was a very good day on the water. So there it was a grass flat anywhere from 3’ to 4’ that we were wading with pole mixed in there. As you moved away from the shoreline with had a gradual drop off.
Yes sir it has been for sure. You can't go wrong with the Lil John, but you can't forget the 4" Saucer Shad either by STX lures with that garlic scent...it's been money!
Yes I can agree with you on that...it definitely does help...do you know a guy who can built such sensitive rods!?!?!? LOL. Every trip out fishing the 6'6" and 6'7" you've built me, I fall more and more in love with them and the action and versatility. Hands down two of my favorite to fish with.
Great job finding the fish and getting dialed in on their wants! I am one of your PRE 1000 subs, BUT, I don't do Instagram. I don't want to miss out on the upcoming fun drawing! ¿What's an angler to do? (this is my finesse presentation, in hopes that it gets some attention! 😄)
I very much appreciate it brotha! Oh ok awesome thanks for being one of the 1,000 subs!!! So to qualify for the drawing I was wanting my followers to sub/follow STX Lures, Solid Action Outdoors, ET Coastal Rod Co and Truchador & Co. it’s my way to give back to these fine folks who have supported me and me supporting their products. I’m all about helping small local business and us growing together. Would you happen to have a buddy that has Instagram that could go follow each of these guys listed above?
@@texaswadefisherman Thank you for the reply! Nah, I wouldn't ask that of anyone else. I have visited all their sites multiple times & will continue to do so, just as i will do so with your channel - Regardless of the contest entry status. That's just a fun addition to your great content! See you on your next program! So, Fair Weather, Tight Lines and Great Times!
Well I appreciate it a lot and one thing you could do for me if you have FB go follow Solid Action Outdoor, but I will add your name to the spreadsheet I’m going to be making when I do the giveaways so your included brotha! Like I said it’s a thank you for all of y’all that have been following me and supporting my channel. I appreciate it and if you have other buddies I just ask you share my channel with them to help me keep growing! Thanks again and same to you when you’re on the water. If you’ve got any questions on Nicks lures are if you’re thinking about getting a few give me a shout brotha. Have a good one
Thanks brotha much appreciated! So the wind did pick up later in the morning blowing around 20mph and the bite died off. We picked up a few dink trout later in the day. I know that wind has been brutal down there.
I appreciate it brotha! They are from Hook and Bullet Purpose Built Optics. I’ve been wearing them for about 4 months now and I love them. Super lightweight don’t hurt behind the ears after wearing them all day fishing and great customer service. Great looking baits! I really like that oil slick color, maybe has a croaker look to it in the water. I’m in NC, so the water where I fish is a lot more stained.
Yes sir they really are and Oil Slick is an awesome looking color. Oh nice sounds like that color would work good or even Old Penny. Also I've done well with Royal Grape in stained water as well. I've got the Oil Slick in the Saucer Shad in the 4.5" and man does it look badass! If you get a chance man go grab a bag or two and try them out. Thanks for watching!
Hey nothing wrong with that at all…you like what you like and if that’s a confidence color then stick with it. I think you will like them and I appreciate you supporting my buddy Nick!!!
Hey Capt! Great video and some good action ! I recognized the location Company I worked for had a pier further down. Keep up the good work. Tight lines brother!
As always I appreciate it brotha!!! Yea it’s not too hard of an area to identify lol if you’ve been there. That’s awesome I bet it caught some good fish off it. Thanks and I sure will!
Lol you know I can't give away my spots man lol. When I say see y'all out here is more of if you see me out on the water are the boat ramp come say Hi.
I'm all for helping someone out with some spots but I can't give up. If someone is familiar with the area you will know where I'm at in this video lol. Some landmarks are hard to hide in the videos for sure.
So they are not in stores at this time, so you’d have to order them online. But it’s possible that if you know what you want I could place the order with Nick and when I’m down there we could met up and I give them to you. Also Nick will be dropping a new 5” bait this weekend so stay tuned for that on his Instagram. I’ve been fishing with it the past 2 months and it’s been great! It’s a different design from the others in this video.
Sounds like a plan brotha! Yea hopefully so, what areas do you normally fish? What boat ramp do you use? Also Nick and I will be doing some Rockport Market Days in the future. I’ll post about it on my install and shirts when we do.
Let’s go!!! I’m always at the market days, looking for good things. Boats been having trouble this year so I’ve just been wading a lot of areas with friends out in redfish bay. If I get the boat up and working I’m usually still in redfish bay, sometimes Ingleside or turtle bayou
@cp2472 oh ok awesome man, well hopefully you get the ol boat back up and running. Yea I’ve fished those areas as well and we’ve had a few nice trout in Ingleside. I really do like that area. Yea I’ve never been but I’m really looking forward to it man.
Yes same here I have them in both a Corky and Soft Dine but haven’t had any success yet on them. But still an awesome color to have. I have so many lures right now it’s hard for me to chose what to throw lol
Yes sir it sure does but it makes you a better all around fisherman to grind out those tough conditions. Always trying to learn from each trip out. I agree I really like that color on that Corky.
No sir I’ve been using Yo-Zuri H.D. CARBON 20lb Fluorocarbon. It’s been good to me so far, but I’ve been thinking about trying out mono one day just to see if there is any difference.
Appreciate it brotha! Yea they sure were, that spot holds some decent fish durning the winter. Definitely a go to spot and hopefully next week when I'm down they are still holding there.
Hmm 🤔 that’s weird but I’m glad you checked it out and enjoyed the content brotha! Appreciate it!!! Looking forward to next week breaking in the new rods.
