So the past few pre-fishing days we found plenty of fish but we were hunting for some Redfish. With the conditions being complete opposite come tournament day, we had to adjust to those conditions and grind it out to put together a decent stringer. Come along as we stick it out and find some good fish on tournament day. Shout out to everyone involved in putting together the Hooked On Ag tournament we had a great time, and looking forward to next years!

Good job! What’s non guided? Thanks and great video.

Thanks I appreciate it. So non guided is where we fished the tournament without a guide on our point. So someone like a guide is on the water just about 24/7. So they kinda have the upper hand to know where the fish are. That’s why I’m most tournaments they with split the tournament divisions between guided and non-guided so that you only compete in your division that you choose to be in if that makes sense.

Congrats on #3 Capt! Loved the variety with this video. Just curious, what’s the typical entry fee for a tournament like this one? And what is the prize if you place? Getting better with each video. Keep it up. Hook’m

Thanks brotha I appreciate it. Yes I agree with you they are getting better and I’m doing my best to bring great content and something new to the channel. Thanks for the support! So typically tournaments will run anywhere from $100-$150 a man. Now if it’s just a 2 man team or 4 man team. That doesn’t cover the side pots like heaviest red, heaviest trout, red with most spots, thing like that. Which in my opinion if your entered into a tournament it’s best to entered into every side pot. Which those could run anywhere from $20-$25 a man depending on tournament. Which that was something I didn’t mention but I’ll make sure I cover those things on the next one. Normally 1st thru 3rd will get some kind of trophy and depending on how big the tournament is you could receive a team total earning of anywhere from $200 up to $3,000 or higher. It all just depends but I hope this helped and we need to get on the water together soon!
