Eberron doesn't delineate gods in that manner. All members of the nine, six and one are equally 'ranked' by their followers - so no Zeus-like king of the pantheon figure. And since there's no physical God out in the outer planes to visit or fight, there's no reason to Stat them out and compare their relative powers.
Loved the video right up until you mentioned IRL cult nonsense like "cultural apppropriation". Bailed out at that point. One of the best things about eberron is that it doesn't bow to WOTC's idiotic softification.
I don't know what to tell you Eberron has taken things like cultural sensitivity into account since the very beginning. It just didn't always quite get to it's intended level. But going and fixing that stuff later is not a fault. That's true for identities related to gender and sexuality too.all there from the outset, and if you missed it before then that's on you.

Super helpful stuff here!! Currently running a campaign where the dreaming dark is using Warforged to create a proper vessel (The Becoming God) to finally return to Khorvaire after being banished by the giants, and this really helps with setting up minions and agents around the country
Hey mate, just found your channel - You haven't played the rest of the campaign for this, have you? I'm thinking about doing the 5e conversion, but I think I need some pointers beforehand, haha. I only bring it up because there's a 5e conversion for this adventure and a few others of the main Eberron adventure path, and it looks better updated than theae books were!
I played all the way through the path in my own 4e conversion way back in the day, and partially through in 3.5 too. So far for 5e I've only done the forgotten forge segment, as adults are hard to organize to play D&D! The conversion available in the dmsguild looks pretty decent, though I have only read through the forge and shadows conversions, I did make use of the forge one when I did run that adventure and it was indeed quite good in play. In general, for converting I would say it's more important to get the right "feel" for individual events and encounters than matching them mechanically.
I've been binging this channel since discovering it and although I don't run in Eberron (a shame, one of my favorite settings) it's a font of inspiration and joy and your videos continue to expand on that. Thank you for this great content
Absolutely! Religious characters in Eberron need to actually have faith in their deities existence. Which is not the case when you know they exist as they come out wreck stuff every few centuries or go visit them in the planes like you can in the Forgotten Realms
There's no canonical specific varietal of quori that would do that. The rebel quori who became Kalashtar came from all levels, and presumably upon the turning of the age all quori would change personality and alignment from IL lastavar to il yannah.
I do believe that people will eventually do adventure mods. A murder on the lightning rail type story seems like a cool idea for a self contained area/adventure! That type of thing will likely take years though.
If you like changelings ang goblins there are two mods that can be used with Fantastical Multiverse. The Goblin mod allows you to fully customize your goblin as well as its clothing (which you cannot at all using the fantastical multiverse version of goblins). The changelings mod gives changelings a custom appearance making them look much more unique as a race. As mentioned both mods can be used along with FM and doesnt overwrite the FM version of the races, simply adds them. The race mods are from a creator by the name Tripsadin and its the "whispers of fey" race mods. Check them out.
I am not a 5e fan but decided to tune in because I am an EBERRON fan. Some of the changes seemed a little odd to me but as I recognize that may be because I am not nearly as familiar with 5e as I am with both 3.5 & Pathfinder. I did like some of the changes, like changlings. Please keep doing more Eberron coverage, I will tune into that regardless of edition.
Thanks! Obviously the largest part of the Eberron community plays in 5e, but I know previous editions and other systems still host a lot Eberron games, so I do want keep things interesting for all sorts.
I think a swarm type enemy of living magic missile darts that never miss and fly around like a speedy swarm of mosquitoes would be cool, or living thunderwave that acts as an invisible creature that is constantly exploding with thunder damage and can be heard for miles like roaming thunder...
For some unofficially Eberron Living Spell minis, Wizkids does have a couple of sets of spell effect miniatures. I also think the Dreamblade mini Chronosphere, as well as the Arkham Horror minis "Fire Vampire" and "Colour out of Space" would work well. Outside of prepainted, there's also a bunch of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar "Endless Spells"(and "Malign Sorcery") sets, though they do get quite weird, so they will probably be very much hit or miss. ;) Very nice video on these guys! I've wanted for a long time to include Living Spells in my (non Eberron) games, but have yet to do so. Definitely higher up on my list now! ;)
Thanks for pointing out the other options! I have that spell effects set, and some of the bigsby's hands can definitely sub in for a living burning hands. I still want the real deal though!
Ok, so as a person that has been DM/GM'ing since the 80's players can know as much, if not more, as the person running the game and it should be no problem. Limiting a players knowledge of a setting only decreases the fun for all. You have so much good knowledge here, it is a shame you recommend players not listen to it if their campaign is Quori based.
I love your videos! You cover so much obscure information that I couldn't have found elsewhere. But if I may make a suggestion, it would be nice if you glossed over the non-eberron aspects of the monsters to get to the parts we're really excited for. The monster history is genuinely fascinating, but not really what I'm looking for when I want Eberron-specific content. Since I'm guessing most of the people coming to your channel are already deep deep in D&D lore as it is, a lot of that information is probably things most of your audience already knows. I seriously love your videos though. Your channel is one of the few on my subscription list that I make a point to actively visit to check for new videos.

I also understand where you're coming from in saying you want me to get right to the Eberron Material - but for every video I'm trying to balance accessibility, depth, and my own interest in a topic I might be spending weeks or occasionally months on. I have generally leant more towards providing at least some context for anything that you won't know by say general familiarity with the Player's Handbook and Eberron Campaign setting book for the current edition. I want to grab both people new to Eberron and those who have been following it since the beginning like myself.

I am not sure what you mean - I believe that spelling with the e is considered archaic at this point in english and no longer used - but but both Ar-tih-fiss and Ar-teh-fice and equivalent for Artificer in both cases are valid pronunciation's when talking about creating artifacts (though not when talking about the other meaning of falsity, that is only the former). I believe I have heard Keith Baker and almost every other D&D creators pronounce it the same way, but we're all Americans or Canadians pretty much, so it could be a regional thing.
@@eberron_arch Artifice is pronounced like artemis except the obvious diffrence. Artificier is pronounced Artefic-ier. We don't say Artif-EYE-sial intelligence or artef-ICE-ial intelligence.

I haven't seen any statements saying exactly why Eberron work is going to end ... WotC's recent actions likely weren't the only reason he has decided to step away.
Do you think this will lead the channel to eventually stop its activities? Eberron is a very extensive setting, there is still a lot of unseen stuff in both Exploring Eberron and Chornicles that can still yield a lot of content regarding lore
