My daughter doesn't love anybody unless you're holding her and she can put your phone in her mouth...bruh
Just trynna be a dad, enjoying life, family, friends, and gaming. Especially the RETRO kind! I'm remembering what I knew and discovering what I didn't.
I feel you on everything you saying bro. my heart is with you. i watched your video with the vs between the two cause i wa actually thinking about buying both and the same thing that happened to your rg35xx other youtubers said that shit could happen, shit even with the shit you talking bout in this video. Everybody said though in all the blogs and vids that you have to get a new micro sd card as soon as you get it and transfer the games to the new micro sd cause china use a cheap one cause it will crash the emulator but i shouldn't have to do that shit if a nigga spending his bread my shit should not mess up soon. And i'm not no tech savvy nigga i know some shit but not a lot so all that transfer shit is beyond me and downloading A B AND C NAHHHH, but the shit that happened to you is wack my nigga. i just bought a analogue pocket though last week off ebay. i love that shit i been buying a lot of gB games and shit, you might want to look into that my nigga. its expensive but worth the bread.
Emulation kinda sucks. I pop into the emulation scene every couple years and it always a lousy experience. First I tried using my phone with an attachable controller, sucked. Then I tried a cheap handheld, sucked. Recently I tried a Retroid Pocket Flip, figured a more expensive handheld would make a better experience, still sucked. Sold them all. I'll try again in another year or so when the hardware is optimal for all systems and ill go for a high end one. But if that experience still sucks, I'll sell it and I'm done.
I got you man. Steamdeck is the way to go for retro handheld gaming. Good hardware, valve support and great emulation performance. The only thing missing is the nostalgic look.
Namco 1 & 2 arent supported on VS because Namco agreed to license their games to blaze but only in hand-held, for whatever reason they didn't want it on home consoles. So blaze had to set it up not to work on VS
Soon as I got mine, upgraded the firmware, added Atari 2600, 5200, and 7800 games. And added NES SNES games along with Game Boy and Game Boy Advance so far on a 64 GB SD card.
@@DaddyPlaysGamesnah I just bought my miyoo mini yesterday and didn’t have that theme. So I’m trying to find the name of it so I can download it from GitHub or somewhere
I was sold after the demo. Pre-ordered the game right after completing the demo. Drops at 3 AM tonight. If it holds up I can see myself replaying the game to really learn it well.
I've got an rg351v, swapped for new cards and installed Arkos as recommended. Worked fine for a bit then I started scrapping game art and out of nowhere the os would boot but games wouldn't & I got error code msg's each time. Eventually i simply copy-pasted the BIOS folder from the OG card onto the new one again (in the same way i had when installing ark) and everything went back to how it should. Been a year now and no issues. Only mention it as I think these device's have buggy OS systems that can go wrong. Maybe try a fresh install of the OS.
I played it a said the same thing this game is 🔥 it deserves far more love than that last Contra game Rogue Corps 🤦🏾♂️ unlike that one im actually wanting to get this game i myself am a long time contra fan
the word "hating" is way overused. people are bringing up valid concerns with the switch version specifically. most people's concerns have more to do with the switch port & have little to do with the actual gameplay of the game itself. it appears that you do not bother to make this distinction in your video which is an important distinction to make. if you don't notice or understand said concerns, let's not invalidate other people's opinions on the game. the switch version is trash. it barely runs at 30fps & it shouldn't. the game's graphics aren't good enough for it to NOT run at 60fps. not only that, it can't even maintain 30fps, it actually frequently drops below 30fps which suggests the game is being rushed out. also it has some pretty decent amount of input lag & for a Contra game, that will affect the gameplay significantly. 4:25 "they're not all gonna be perfect" Contra games on PlayStation 2 (!) ran at a smooth framerate. so a similar looking game can't run at a decent framerate on the Switch which is significantly more powerful hardware than the PS2? something's up. 0:46 you hit it on the nose. some people are what you call casual gamers & are easily pleased & have much lower expectations than others. casual gamers generally cannot perceive inconsistent framerate & most of the time they don't even notice input lag at all. it appears that you may be one of those people. from what i can tell you're a new dad & a lapsed gamer that hasn't played games in a long time & now you're coming back to the hobby. but yeah, its a new day & a new era. we've got higher standards for our games.
Wayforward company does a great job on remakes DD Neon was great people hated on that and people are hating this because it doesn't have realistic graphics and in depth game play I enjoy this because I'm a old school gamer
The game is awesome and done well but.....the one console where it really matters is the switch version, not even the title screen runs smooth. Aside from the framerate stutter, the game moves incredibly slow. Play this new Contra for a few hours then immediately switch to megaman 11 or streets of rage 4 and you'll see what I mean. I honestly had no idea how slow the game was running till I played something proper(and of similar sidescrolling nature)
I’m a diehard contend myself as I own every single console version of this series. My personal take on this new contra game is that it looks like a mobile game. You can easily compare us to an actual game called Contra returns, except with the consul game. There’s no micro transactions or daily long and bonuses or any of the other crappy, monetization, mobile games, or known for. This is feels like a cheap contra game that was slapped together for the sake of diehard fans to jump aboard and for casuals like yourself that’s gonna be more interested in. Hearing you say that you’ve had a really played much of the games in the series or don’t really care much for the graphics is exactly demographic this game is aiming for , and not necessary for fans of the series. To be clear, it’s the fans of the series that have complaints about it versus casuals who are happy to just play a contra game. The game does need to be perfect but for a legacy series by Contra it deserves way better.
@@mitu123Copper true but that’s not really saying much. Operation Galuga is the worst looking2.5D Contra game in my opinion thus far. It doesn’t compared to say the Contra games on the PS2. Those games were polygon 2.5D games that look way better than this and have their own identity rather than relying on nostalgia as a selling point. It’ll sell because casuals and RU-vidrs will have it for reviews and play throughs but I’ll guarantee it won’t be memorable and easily forgotten
@@Ryuujin1078 It won't be as forgotten as Contra Rogue Corps as honestly most people forgot that game exist as literally no one talks about it ever despite coming out 5 years ago. But really though, what you said is true about it's visuals and for the reasons people will play it but honestly this is going to vary depending on the quality and lasting appeal of the game. It's by the same devs who made Contra 4 so if it's as good as that game or even half as good then it might have some attention for a while. Will it be as memorable is yet to be determined. Personally, I don't see it measuring up to Contra, Super C, Contra 3, Contra Hard Corps and Contra 4 in that regard. But I don't see it as forgotten as Contra Legacy of War, C: The Contra Adventure, Contra Force, Contra Rogue Corps as already mentioned, and to an extent Contra Rebirth but you can't buy that anymore so that makes sense. I really hope they patch in online because it's insane to have 4 player co-op with no online, lol. But yeah I do wonder how it'll do once it comes out and what will happen years from now if people will talk about it or not.
My favorite Contra games are Contra, Super C, Contra 3, Contra Hard Corps and Contra 4 so it's got competition against those games in terms of quality.
for me was Contra, Contra 3 and PS2 Contra: Shattered Soldier 👈 Shattered Soldier have the best soundtrack since original Nes Contra very underate game. The stages was great with 3 bosses in every stages , very hard for S ranks. The story was a great change with lance going Bad because of Bill. Only bad was short to beat that why you need S rank to have the true ending.
Switch version unfortunately has scuffed frame rate, half of what the other console and PC versions which run at 60 fps and plays more smoothly. But I didn't see much of a problem with the Switch version except from occasional stutter that happens. The developers definitely need to patch the Switch version.
It's going to stay at 30 fps. They had a reddit an AMA and confirmed it multiple times. They fixed the stuttering but it will be half framerate of the other versions.
Some people can't like a game if it is not a 100 hours, cinematic, open world, online multi-player with unlimited customizations and 100 skill-trees. And then there's people like me who can't care less about any of that, I just want my game to be fun, and this game is fun.
I saw few comments on youtube they don't like the game would be beaten in less than an hour or two (which is like average full playthrough of Contra games), back 2 open world JRPGS with bloated sidequests to pad out the game for 1000+ hours methinks!
@@dracovaniaI agree with everything you said. Like not every game needs to be dozens to a hundred hours and need all of what you listed as various games are just designed differently and there should always be room for these types of games that were huge in the 80s and 90s as well. Massive Contra fan here and will get this new Contra game as well.
Sounds like you may have received a bad unit. Have you replaced the crappy SD card the device comes with and updated to the latest stock firmware release?
