@@DaddyPlaysGames First a disclaimer, I did install the 1.30 Firmware patch first, there have been changes on ROM support since the shipped version of the Gamestation (1.20 firmware), so take that in mind. On console ROMs, like 2600, 7800, NES and Genesis... no problem whatsoever, they all ran great... On various Arcade game ROMs, the vast majority ran just fine, but there were a few here and there that did not work, but for every ROM that didn't work, there were probably 10 that did. Lastly, and this is important... CONTROLLER SUPPORT... remember, the Gamestation is a 3-button controller... any game that wants/needs more than 3-buttons is going to run into this wall. As of this moment, the Gamestation is 3-buttons and 3-buttons only... plugging in a controller with more than 3-buttons just means you have multiple buttons that do nothing.... so... having said that... The Atari 5200 controller (back in the day) had a keypad... so if that 5200 game requires the keypad, the Gamestation won't help you there. Arcade games that require more than 3 buttons... same issue there... if you play, say Street Fighter II that wants 6 buttons, you'll only have 3 supported by the Gamestation. Finally... the SNES... I had ZERO PROBLEMS... every ROM loaded up just fine... BUT... the SNES came with a 6-button controller... so, if said SNES game requires more than 3 buttons to play... same problem. Having said all that... every 2600 game is a one-button game... every 7800 game is a one or two button game... every NES and Sega Genesis game is 3 buttons or less, and a TON of Arcade games from the 80s and early 90s play just fine with 3 buttons or less. I really like the Gamestation... 9/10... if I could change one thing about it, it'd have 6-button controller support (even 4-button would be nice)... but to be fair, it's advertised as an Atari Gamestation, and Atari games usually only need 1 or 2 buttons, so technically, the Gamestation gave us one extra button than is needed by Atari games. The fact you can add hundreds (even thousands) of games via SDcard plus NES and Sega Genesis games (entire libraries of both systems supported) is just pure unexpected bonus. It's a great system, just be careful when downloading ROMs to temper expectations if you think you're going to try and play games that require more than 3 buttons!
