I too always wished to experience a hurricane, I got my chance on 9/11/92 when the eye of category four hurricane Iniki went right down the middle of the island of Kauai Hawaii. It was scary yet exhilarating at the same time. My only regret is that I fell asleep during the eye and missed the second half.
We have a saying, "its not the tornado that kills you, its the debis the tornado is blowing around." anything hitting you at 200-300 Mph is going to hurt.
I'm confused by her confusion because she's reacted positively to all these things in the past and suddenly they're strange. Her foreigner shocked by America videos seem to need clickbiat now
This is a huge misrepresentation of what Americans eat. She's gone out of her way to find the most ridicules food ideas some corporations have tried, AND FAILED, to market. Pineapple pizza is a controversial subject among any group of two or more.
Diane was the very first creator I watched reaction videos about America from, but she gets a lot of things wrong. We had an exchange about her video that parents in the US want their kids to move out at 18, I told her she had it backwards, it's the kids that want to move out at 18, not their parents demanding it and she was like "really???."
Peanut butter is practically a survival food it never spoils damn she is dumb 🙄 I guess she failed to realize alot of our food was once European too 😂😂 but adpated towards the American palate.
We have more than just mayonnaise and ranch dressing. We have thousands of sauces and dips and dressing to choose from. like sweet curry sauce to pico de gallo to dill dip
We do like sweet and salty foods and we do have maple bacon donuts and bacon dipped in chocolate and potato chips covered in chocolate. Etc but not everyone likes them it’s always a choice
Sloppy Joe are minced beef with onions and peppers and tomatoes in a tomato base sauce and you put it on a hamburger bun and it’s really good and biscuits and gravy is good too
I lived in Charleston, South Carolina when Hurricane Hugo hit. In addition to the damage mentioned, it took about six weeks for electricity to be restored with electric crews from more than twenty states working nonstop. We had a dusk to dawn curfew. The national guard patroled the streets to enforce the curfew and prevent looting. It took about eight weeks to have clean running tap water, so the only showers required you to collect rain water for use. It was a miserable experience. I do not recommend it.
She is the best example of someone who just knows a little info then decides she knows the subject well enough to speak on it. She misinforms people nonstop....😢😮😢
At the end of the day women's sports do not generate enough money to sufficiently find itself, if the men pulled in the same numbers as the women they would be broke as well. End of discussion.
If you come to a country where freedom of voice and expressions is allowed - then do expect to get offended! If you can't take the humor then don't watch or come to these countries.
It looks like her jelly on pie is actually a strawberry topping on cheesecake. One of the local restaurants offered the donut burger and one of my coworkers said it wasn’t bad. Never seen canned cake but almost anything can be canned and once done can last go years in storage. Sloppy joes are just minced hamburger with a tomato sauce. You can ask for any dressing you prefer and they will put it in a condiment cup , and if you don’t like mayonnaise just ask for none. My granddaughters don’t like onions and I simply ask for them to be left off.
Saucy, beefy and so satisfying. We’re convinced this is the BEST recipe for a homemade Sloppy Joe. Ground beef in a hearty tomato sauce served on toasted hamburger buns is a great idea for lunch or dinner.
Hamburgers on donuts are regional and most Americans have never seen one let alone eaten one. Pineapple pizza is a Canadian creation that made its way to America. Sloppy joes, biscuits and gravy, and hamburger gravy are poor people creations to make a little bit of meat stretch to feed a lot of people they just happen to taste good. The canned cake and canned hotdogs are UK foods not found in America just as the canned bananas are a Thai food not found in America. The majority of fried foods are only found at fairs or are regional and not eaten by most Americans. The deep fried snickers bar came to America from Scotland. While a lot of Americans drink coffee, most do not walk around with a coffee in their hand. America has far more of a choice of dressings than Ireland does and a lot of Americans don't like mayo or ranch dressing. Peanut butter is an American favorite but isn't as common a flavor of food as she claims. Japanese pancakes are a lot thicker than American pancakes. My favorite sweet and savory dishes come from East Asian cuisine so sweet and savory is not just an American thing.
So called "Hawaiian Pizza" was created by a Greek immigrant to Canada. On behalf of all Greeks worldwide we sincerely apologize for this abomination. Please forgive us 🙏. 🇬🇷 🇺🇸
I think she exaggerated everything except for the ice and the coffee. You don’t see all of that deep fried stuff everywhere. Go to a state fair and you see it. But it’s not any everyday thing. I like pancakes and biscuits and gravy but that’s a rare breakfast for me. Some pizza chains have a stuffed crust option but I would say 99% of the pizza in America is not stuffed crust and doesn’t have pineapple on it.
She always does, she sees one person doing something and then she claims it's an American tradition. Even though she has videos about how big the US is, she seems to think a popular dish in say NYC is going to be popular in a Cuban neighborhood in Miami.
She is the most hated creator in the reaction genre. She is far too negative and annoying. She gets things so wrong and makes ridiculous obnoxious generalizations. She's just bitter She moved to Hollywood to tried to make it as an actress and failed miserably. She only lived in the U.S. for maybe 90 days total. She doesn't even live in Ireland, she lives in Spain.
Diane is a nice lady, but she is a good example of the American stereotype of the Sanctimonious European... They like making lots of rules and feel safe in their conformity.
These things might sound weird but I actually really enjoy how in America we aren't afraid to try and create new things. We don't feel like we have to follow the exact rules for cooking. We also have many different cultures that also influence cooking styles and recipes that it makes our food a unique experience. Meatloaf and sloppy joes are unique because they were both created during the Great Depression so they were made to be cheap meals for people who still wanted to get meat in their diet but couldn't afford anything else.
sloppy Joe's are good. you experiment to make and create new things. what has Ireland contributed to the culinary community? not everything is good. but some things are awesome!
Ooooo, she done went too far talking about biscuits and gravy! TBH, I'm from the north and did not try them until I was in my 30's. There is a time when I would have agreed with her. Those were my ante-biiscuit and gravy days. I offer this link to further make my point; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KzdbFnv4yWQ.htmlfeature=shared
Deep fried is just submerging a batter covered food in to a pot full of hot oil. French fries are made thru deep frying. Where she came up with canned hot dogs is beyond this american, never saw a can of them inmy lifetime. We do have little vienna sausages in a tiny can but those are served as horderves or mini snacks while watching a game or something. Sloppy Joes are just seasoned ground beef in a seasoned tomato based sauce with chopped onion and pickles mixed in and served on a bun. They are called sloppy joes because its messy to eat, so most folks use a untensil instead to save from the mess. She missed on this video, most is very vague and not to well described. Biscuits and breakfast sausage gravy is AWESOME.
We had an exchange a few years ago about her video that parents in the US want their kids to move out at 18, I told her she had it backwards, it's the kids that want to move out at 18, not their parents demanding it and she was like "really???."
